Flutes - DRAMA. Most of them are very girly and annoying. When there is no sort of drama going on within the section, they get along pretty well. In a catty sort of way.
Clarinets - The second most stable section in the band. (The mellophone section takes first place in that category.) They all get along, except for like, two people. Like the flutes (although not nearly as bad), they are girly and sometimes annoying.
Saxes - The sterotype of this section seems to change with the current section leader. For example, my freshman year the sections leader was very, well... to put it simply, he was called a "Nazi" by almost everyone in the band. And as a result of his strict leadership, the saxophone section was always on-time to everything, a little up-tight, etc. But, my sophomore and junior years, the sax section leaders have been very laid-back and somewhat lazy. Thus, the rest of the section was the same way.
Trumpets - LOUD, annoying and very perverted. In order to gain any sort of respect as a leader with them, you have to rule with an iron fist. Probably the most unstable out of all the sections.
Mellophones - My wonderful section! <3 We are probably the most stable out of all the sections, mainly due to the fact that we all get along. We also considered one of the "geekier" sections, since we are all honors students. In some ways, we are a lot like the trombone section: crazy, hyper and accident-prone.
Trombones - For the most part, the trombones get along very well. But they do have their days when sparks fly within the section. They are very loud (almost as loud as the trumpets), perverted, crazy, hyper and accident-prone.
Baritones - The most musically talented section in the band. They are one of the more... strict sections within the band when on the field, but off the field, they know how to have fun just like everyone else! They get along pretty well, but they have had their fair share of section fights.
Tubas - The least musically talented section within the band (minus like, one person). They are also the weirdest section, and are often described as "mentally ill".
Drumline - Conceited, loud, annoying and perverted. They are also convinced that they are not part of the band, but oh well. But despite all that, they get along fairy well... when they're not fighting over who's the best.
Guard - They are girly, annoying and have more than enough drama to go around; but surprisingly, it's still not as much as the flute section. About half of the section is like the drumline and don't think they are part of the band, but the other half believe they are.

^Probably just weird.
Lessee... flutes: Pretend to get along, but don't. Drama over what part they play. Then there's the piccolo.
clarinets: Hyper and care about nothing but band. Talk about band constantly.
trumpets: Best section we have, two all-state musicians and an alternate. One total freakshow.
low brass: Perved, weird, loud, obnoxious and damn proud of them all.
drums: lazy
guard: non-existant, effectively, but whiny

Flutes: Mostly quiet, except for the rare "DRAMA EXPLOSION" Clarinets: One of the nerdiest sections. Saxes: There's some weird stuff going on in our sax section, i don't know if they're on something or not, LOL. Trumpets: thingyy and extremely weird. Mellos: IMO, the best section in the band. Solid leadership, great musicans, and they don't fly off the handle. Baritones: My section. We're so screwed up, lol. Trombones: Their section leader is slightly insane, but he manages to pull his section together and make it one of the best. Tubas: They're insane. Percussion: Lots of perverted guys.

I'm one of two of the trumpet section leaders of my band and some of our band follows the traditional stereotypes, but of course there will be exceptions with over 100 people (around 120) Flutes: Preppy girls mostly, except for two guys. Tend to be very snooty at times, but sometimes they are bearable. Clarinets: The most populated section of the band is just a weird mix of everything some are perverted (probably corrupted by the brass) Saxophones: All of them have rather upbeat attitudes, but can be one of the most dramatic sections. French horns: We have 5 of them this year, funny talkative, but know when to be serious. Bari-sax: We have 4, and two of them are very arrogant. Trumpets: My section (we're down to 10 of them from last years 14), we are slightly perverted, but we know how to have fun. Tubas: 5 of them all perverted and totally random TUBA TIME!!! Baritones: (we have 4) Kind of stuck up, but friendly none the less. Trombones/Bass Trombones: (We have 4 bass trombones) What you would expect of a low brass section, random hilarity and perversity. Drummers: See low brass with a bit more craziness thrown in. Guard: Does not exist Check us out here www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBKM68QJyfsOne of our drummer's is the one dancing. You don't get to see the trumpet section This was our 7-8th time playing this in a row so it is not as good as it could have been.
