^Ah, I was thinking about rushing Sigma Alpha Iota during winter quarter. Currently I can't because OU's chapter only allows girls to join once they have completed a music credit - I am still taking my music credit, so I have to wait.
And yeah, BCB, I'm not Greek and never really intended to be, but in my personal experience, you can get just as much friendship and fun by just associating with KKPsi and TBS people as you perhaps would from actually becoming part of those fraternities/sororities. At least that's what it seems like on campus, since everyone in the marching band tends to befriend each other anyway.

Good advice from The Horn and SaxGirl, so thanks. Just wondering. There's just so much to consider when getting ready for college, and I was just wondering whether or not Greek life is a big concern--not that I would ever let that be the factor in my college choice.

I got a bid for Tau Beta Sigma on Thursday night! I'm so excited! Our first formal get-together is tomorrow, so I can start the "becoming a sister" process.
I think KKY had their bid process already, too. What I like about KKY and TBS here is that, well, they're both co-ed, and two, both groups really aren't competitive. It's not like, "Eww, we're KKY, and we're way better than you," or vice versa.
So, any news on who is rushing KKY, or perhaps TBS?

I was rushing TBS all last semester and most likely would have gotten a bid but my mom put the kebosh on pledging this year, but TBS may be doing a fall pledge class so I may do that depending on my credits and what not. They only got 3-4 mc's this semester which is low even for them.

Oh, Greenepony, I forget what the woman's name was, but apparently a proponent of TBS was mentioned at our meeting tonight who is at Baylor! It's weird because people from TFBC's schools keep showing up here at OU! (One of our TAs went to James Madison where Ninja Baker is, who she started up the TBS chapter at JMU in 2001. She spoke at the meeting tonight!)

That picture of Boh is EPIC! We did something like that for our rush shirts this year...only we used spraypaint and a stencil. It was awesome.
