I'm excited. This semester we have a rather large class of 10 prospects.

Here's a pic of our chapter this semester...sorry it's so small, I was trying to size it for my Myspace (which didn't really work...stupid photobucket...)

Well, we had our chapter officer elections last night...and I was elected President. Pretty exciting stuff. So, anyone who wants to contact the Theta Upsilon chapter can just talk to me. We're putting in a bid for precincts soon, which would be kind of fun.
Our Third Degree will be on December 11th, so anybody who is near URI would be more than welcome to attend; contact me if interested.

How do you get into Kappa Kappa Psi? I'm considering joining that sorority when I get to college.

Read through the thread to get an idea of what it's about - that question has been asked in different ways. Also, ΚΚΨ is a fraternity, not a sorority. It has both men and women in it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kappa_Kappa_PsiFWIW, I was in Sigma Alpha Iota, and woe to the person that referred to it as a sorority. Some sisters would bite your head off.

^ Interestingly, we refer to our female members as Brothers anyway.
In case people are wondering, the reason that KKY and TBS are both co-ed is that, when Title IX (or whichever Title was the gender one), honorary fraternities and sororities (like KKY and TBS) could either remain honorary and become co-ed, or remain unisexual and become social groups. Both organizations decided to remain honorary and open to both sexes.

I was just elected Vice President of Membership on Monday night! (Our old VP Membership resigned so we needed to elect a new one for the semester). I'm so excited!

^Look to your older brothers for advice and input...but remember that the final decision is yours to make.
