I love how this became a discussion about bagpipes. Lucky we have cosmicwonder to get us back on topic, lol.

Seriously guys! this is a legit concern! I remember the days before the Random Voting Thread stole everyone's souls. I remember when Algebra tests were the most serious thing I had to worry about.

Me too... Since I'm no longer in band, I feel like I don't have much relevant to say. I'm no longer in guard either, so I feel a little weird posting there. Heck... when I welcome people in their intro threads... I dunno what to say. I USED to play flute and be in guard. Are you not going to be in JMU's band anymore?

I was offered a position in one of JMU's undergraduate chemistry labs for next fall (and will hopefully work there until I graduate), so I took the position. But it leaves me with very little free time, and thus I'll have to cut out marching band, I think. Maybe I'll be able to make room for it my junior year. I'm rather sad, because JMU's marching band is going to Greece next year.

I remember when I literally wasted hours on here. Especially the RVT's, along with other random games. Now, I waste hours on Facebook =) haha.
And poo, Baker. That's no good =( But I guess it makes sense, so good? haha

It makes a lot of sense. Especially since I might be getting a government intern job (that I'd get paid for) next summer. Which could eventually lead to me having "journeyman" status (thats like...level 13 authorization, my intern job would give me level 5) and be making some serious money. I'm actually really excited to be diving into things that deal with the line of work I want to go into.
*sigh* I remember when I joined the boards, and my greatest aspiration was to be a nuclear physicist. Now look at me.

Speaking of bagpipes (I know, i know, its not the topic, but still), queens' university's ceremonial events always have two bagpipers leading the way, and the marching band is in fact, a pipe band with brass, and the pipers actually sound really nice (when they're not drunk, anyways, which happens sometimes)
Gah i miss music! engineering sucks (your soul away)

Baker, sometimes money comes in the way of your music. But your music will still be there.......somewhere.

i was a sophomore in hs when i joined in 2007. i'm a senior and i feel old compared to the freshies, so i can't imagine how you college or post-college people feel.
and where has Scott been??? he's one of the few who hasn't replied to this!! we should send out a search party. maybe we need to start burning cellos, and then he'll come back to run us through with his endpin. I feel so alone being the only orchestra to band convert (well, not really a convert since i'm still in orch)
oh, and someone needs to resurrect the guard forum. it's been sort of dead the last few months. is recruitment down or something?

I have found Scott! In a book written by face. And I have requested that we become acquaintances in the book of face. Pending his response I will try to bring him back to TFBC.
*will update when the situation changes*
