We don't get Section Shirts. However, last year my high school band went to Florida so we had band shirts made. Half the band had red shirts while the other half had gold shirts. On them there was a picture of a knight lounging underneath a palm tree over what looks like Florida. The cool thing is that if you look closely, the palmtree is actually instruments and the Knights chair is really a tuba.

I designed our section shirts this year, which I thought was neat since I'm a freshman. I figured that wouldn't be allowed, haha. But, no one else really offered to do it, either. That's the front, but we have a slogan uttered by our section on the back, plus all of our names.

^ And what would the slogan be? (if its appropriate)

^ And what would the slogan be? (if its appropriate) Oh, it was "Get Up and Go!" One of our section leaders, during a practice, somehow tripped over his foot or something (it was even the squad in front of me, and I missed it!), and he was so angry that he fell that he literally yelled at himself to "Get up and go!" and bounced back up, hardly missing a beat. Haha.

We do not have section shirts. We have performance shirts that we wear underneath our uniform but that is it!

Our band shirts this year say: On the front: This isn't your 3rd grade recorder band(or something like that... ) the back: SAHS Rebel Symphonic (or concert) band 2008-2009. We still haven't ordered them yet, and school is almost out. =[

We like NEVER have section shirts... but the one time we did, we had 10 trumpets. So we had T-R-U-M-P-E-T-S-?-! One letter per person. Since i was the eighth grade trumpet, i didn't even have a letter. XD I had(still have actually) the ezclamation point. XD

We (flutes) made section shirts with good ol'-fashioned paint and blank light blue t-shirts my freshman year, and we had "BHS Flutes" on the front, with our nicknames on the back and whatever else we wanted. We didn't have them last year. :[ This year, I want to make shirts in a similar fashion. I want to have royal blue shirts, though, with white paint. I still want it to say something along the lines of "BHS Flutes" on the front. On the back, I think the name or nickname (not both). On the left sleeve, I want the drill number and possible section leader status (SL), and then on the right sleeve, '09 - Lux, for our show. - Clarinets have been pretty steady on making shirts. My 8th grade year, they made dark blue shirts with "Clarinets" on the front and nicknames on the back with a little bear design made by one of the artists in band. Freshman year, they had light blue or lime green shirts with "Clarinets" down the front side, nicknames on the back, drill numbers on the sleeve, and paint splatters all over. Sophomore year, they had neon orange shirts that said "Clarinets " on the front. The tubas made shirts my freshman year that were white and blue, and they said, "Tuba" or something on the front, then their nicknames on the back.

Do you think putting personal quotes on the section shirts is a good idea? the quotes are from something someone says that is funny...except the person in track of the quotes isn't giving us (the 2 section section leaders) any quotes. Would it be okay just to leave out the quotes? since we are the ones who make the shirts.

i just made a section shirt.Because it is way to expensive to get shirts printed, puffy paint looks bad,and transfer paper peels, i used sharpie. It has a treble cleff wrapping around the hip and flute written next to it.
