i dont know how many times i have jumped on people for talking about us... "well you guys should practice longer than band. you have it easy, we have to play music... you just spin a little flag" that is when i would love to hit them with the little flag, and see how little they think it is, but i usually do a toss or something then hand them the flag and say, "oh yeah? you try" after they hit themselves once, they are like "i gotta go... yeah" it is hilarious!!!

On the above note, my band actually had a non-band member injure themselves with a flag (hit himself) that he had to be driven to the emergency room for a concussion.

^ Ouch. O__O But, I guess that's what he gets for playing with a flag when he's not in guard. Still...poor guy. :\
I hate in general when the band or guard is insulted. Especially when they're compared to sports. "Oh, well in football we have to do so and so thing...blahblahblah..." Football is hard work too, but that doesn't mean band/guard isn't.

OMG!!! that reminds me of one of our cheerleaders last year during a game the guard was sitting there and this cheerleader walks into a line and clotheshangs herself and then like 2 mins later does it again we find this funny just cuz she was blonde... nothing against blondes cuz they rock my socks

I went on a college tour at Penn State and we were talking to the waiter about the school, and about their AMAZING marching band. He was like, "I didn't know marching bands actually ran!" Me and my parents started cracking up.

Me and my parents started cracking up. Oh Blue Band... My Friend/ex-boyfriend is a trombone in it and he loves it. I listen to him until he starts getting high and mighty about it. Then I tune him out. The auditions are crazy. My freshmen year they had two open piccolo spots to fill out of like 32 auditionees. Personally I didn't like Main Campus but that more has to do with the campus size and the fact it snows in October. We do "braveheart run on" for half time. We charge from the visitor's side screaming... it's rather scary to be in the front of the line, especially in front of the bass line.

No fair. My college doesn't get to run on the field... We have to march out. Oh well.

"Oh Blue Band..." OMG the Blue Band is awesome I'm a PA person and one of the kids that use to be on our percussion team is a cymbal player. He comes out and helps us sometimes it's pretty awesome!
