Since I will be a junior at 3:25 on Wednesday, if I am not all ready (the seniors are gone, and the juniors are calling themselves seniors, so...), so I thought I'd make the thread. Woo! Go us!
Class elections went pretty well for us...our co-presidents are the two out of the four candidates that haven't been our presidents the last two years, which is good because the other two haven't been all that. Not only that, but one is in band and the other is in choir and may be in color guard, so yeah. I also voted for them both, so yay.
I think our class on here named Altoclarinets president and me VP...if anyone wants to object, go ahead, but I'm going to go ahead and put VP back in my sig...I think AC should do the same. Cough.

^Yeah, I'm only vaguely looking forward to it. Thankfully, I'm switching my second science class for jazz band, but even so.

Are you kidding? It's May!
Actually, you're right. I do feel like a junior already. Minus the car.
I feel proud to be what feels like the only sophomore who is not taking one single AP next year. In my school, that's a novelty.

Geez, your seniors are leaving so soon? Ours have another miserable two or so weeks left.
But yeah, totally can't wait until next year. I'm doing PSEO, so only HS half the day! I'm super excited that I don't have to sit in that place all day.
And class elections? What? Like, I think I know what they are, but I don't think we have them (but as band doesn't hear the announcements, there very well may have been).

Ours left yesterday. I am like, completely devastated. My best friend is a senior.
Advice to underclassmen: Never, ever, under any circumstances, talk to anyone older. Because then they will graduate and LEAVE YOU.

Talk to them, but don't get attached. They won't even be sympathetic to you, because, well, they're gone.

Darn seniors. What business do they have graduating?
In two and a half weeks the last two real trombone players in the school will graduate. Figures.

^ I KNOW! That's how I feel. And I still have two more miserable years with my horrible Homeroom teacher...we're supposed to have the same one every year. I hate this guy. He's IGNORANT. You know, like not stupid, not dumb, but IGNORANT. And I hate that even more than stupidity. He told us that we needed to pick six classes from the main high school courses and six from the Vocational path classes, and my friend and I are just sitting there like, "....no?" So we ask him about it, and he's all, "Oh, this way they can push you into a vocational class if you don't get into one of the main ones. Don't worry, 90 percent of the time you'll get what you need." NINETY PERCENT? Stalker is going to be 100% graduating with honors, let me tell you, which means unless I'm taking a medical/computer class, she isn't talking anything Vocational. He was wrong, of course. But then he proceeded to NOT turn in our schedules to the office until three days after they were due. And the office does them on a first come/first serve basis. -whine-

^ I will take a wild guess and assume you attend a vocational tech school or something similar?
Mine's a math and science magnet. People there take so many APs that you have to fill out paperwork stating that you won't kill yourself from the stress if you want to take more than three. And you are required to take the AP exam at the end of the year, which I hear is not required in other schools in the area.

The "big" school to the west of us contracts with a junior college in New Mexico to send people to take vocational classes down there and the other schools in the county (us and our former rivals that just dropped to 2A), kind of latch on to give the program enough people to justify its existance.

^ I will take a wild guess and assume you attend a vocational tech school or something similar? Not quite. We have a main building, which is just..the high school, that has all of our Math, Science, English, Language, History, etc, classes. Then we have the Vocational school, which is just a walk across the parking lot, that has the shop for carpentry and metal, all the computer classes, child developments, and HOSA classes. I was unlucky enough to have gotten stuck with a teacher who's room is in the VoTech building, which means I have to talk all the way down, stay for fifteen minutes, and then leave to walk all the way back to the other side of the HS for Chem. ><
