*giggles* There needs to be a major for starving artists. "Yeah Mum and Da, I've switched my major. Yeah yeah! From Law to Starving Artistry. ...wait, what? You're cutting my flow of money? You're not going to pay for college anymore? *click* {parents hung up} ...Hello?" Oh dear... this will be my life in six years. Okay, I break down at any event of great sadness. Like tonight when I drove home on 279 and my parents were trying to tell me which lane I should go in (because the road split in two), so I nearly drove into the wrong exit then pulled over onto the shoulder and broke down crying. Yeah, I'm so ready for the real world. awww.... Suddenly, I'm the go-to freshman driver. Everyone is like, "Kelly!!! Best friend, wanna give me a ride home?" GAH!!! Why do I have to be the cool guard senior, why can't I be the b.itchy one?

i dont' think that i have seen so many freshman in my band at one time. half the band is freshman my section has 6 of them. it worries me a little because i don't know how good we are going to be and of course i want my senior year to be awesome. i'm also having issues with this one freshman in my section. she is bossing everyone around, even seniors, and she isn't even right most of the time. it isn't so bad towards me anymore because i made her understand that she will listen to me when i say something. but the other senoir in the section doesn't do anything or she just doesn't realize it. angers me.

not to be a junior in the senior thread... heheh... But that ^ isn't completely unfamiliar to me. I'm a CIT (counselor in training) at a girl scout camp this year. I started the training this summer, but I also came back a couple weeks later for my last week as a camper. Even though everyone in my unit (yeah, all six of us, lol) were close in age, I was the oldest, plus I had CIT training behind me, so even though I wasn't a counselor I believe I can say I had a certain amount of authority. Not that I used it a whole lot with them, but...
there was a girl, I believe she was going into eigth grade, in my unit who was inherently bossy. It got rather grating when she was constantly calling "girls! do [something or other]" Ironically, I believe she was the youngest of us. Not to brilliant talking down to us. We were there for a horse program, and I'd judge her to have been the second to worst rider among us. She couldn't even mount (jeeze I feel so mean saying that. I kept telling the other peoples to shut up about it and all. But truth is truth.) Nevertheless, she still tried to tell us all what to do when we were riding. >.<
So... I'll shut up and go back to simply stalking this thread. *lurk*

Somehow, the reality of being a senior and getting ready for "real life" hasn't caught up to me quite yet. I'm going for my senior pictures next Thursday and I'm excited. I'm so pumped for college. I visited seven colleges since the spring, and I've narrowed the list down to my three favorites, which consist of my absolute favorite, and two backups. And I too have yet to get my license. =)

I'm going to try to visit Kent State University on the 18th, but I need to call my manager to see if I can that Saturday off.
It's funny how a job is great, but also sucks.

My dad was talking to me about how he, my mom, and I are going to go out to dinner sometime soon to talk about how this and next year are going to go.
I'm super scared.

I'm super scared. It sucks, yes. I had "the talk" and I was crying by the end of it. Now, that's probably just because I want to be an art major, and that's something that is hard to make a living off of just by sheer talent (which I would need to hone anyway to make it in the art world). If you have something figured out, or at least an idea of what you want to do, you should be okay... good luck, though!

I got postcard from WEST POINT telling me that they're intrested in me... um... what?!
I got a card from a school in Malibu this last few days, I found that hilarious, seeing as I'm from Lancaster County... we DEFINE the rural small town... complete with plenty of Amish and Mennos (the blackbumper sort not the secularistic type)

I put it in my AIM profile after I read this instead of the boring ol' "SENIORS 08!" Soooo true! I always tell everyone I have a love-hate relationship with my job. Dude, me too! My Jekyll and Hyde relationship with work is so bad that I've been debating whether or not to quit since April. If anyone wants to hear a long, complicated, messed-up story of my company's tolerance of employees' inappropriate actions, find me.
