I've got my driver's liscense. :-\ I just hate driving.
I don't like it too much either-- I've noticed more than ever how many idiots there are on the road. But I like getting to listen to my music in the car and the absence of my mom nagging me and the added convenience. ;D I agree. There are way too many idiots. I've also noticed the differences in road - set ups. It's dumb. They can't make all roads work the same way.
But, It is convenient.

Two of my friends got their AP scores by phone. One got two threes, the other got two twos... I'm terrified now.
When were the scores supposed to be mailed? 'Cause I really don't want to wait 'til August to read them, but I don't want to pay $8 for a phone call.

Well I want to Major in Biblical Archeology but the only school I've found that offers that as a major is Wheaton near Chicago (luckily my cousin lives near there.) I really like it thee, its my first choice. Then probably Mercyhurst in Erie because they're the best Anthropology department in the east coast (though I don't want to go as much, but they're good) IUP sounds good but my one coworker who goes to St. Vincents says I would hate it there. Though they were recommend by the curator of the PA state museum. Then way back in last is Millersville I don't' what to do. My SAT scores weren't too great unless you combine. and as much as I want to go to Wheaton, it's expensive as anything (I might as well shoot for Bucknell or Elizabethtown) and it's farther from home then I really want. Also two blocks from my house is Elizabethtown College which comes highly recommended but like I said its close to my house and its really expensive also my boyfriend goes there and I don't' really want to go to the same school as him, just so its not awkward (his grandma and father work there)
O and I'm taking 2 AP Classes, a class that is AP without the credit, and 2 other weighted classes with one of them, I'm skippng every other class for band. AP Gov / Politics, AP Lit, Inquiry Based Seminar, Spanish IV (every other day), and Pre-Calc (last year I took a fly class). I'm in a royal bit of a mess for this year.

Yeah, I'm both anxiously waiting for them, yet also avoiding them, but regardless, I don't want to waste $8. Seems kind of pointless. Hopefully tomorrow's tour of Vanderbilt will put college into a real perspective for me. I'm in the hotel room using my dad's laptop and should probably go to bed so I don't look like a zombie at the tour... if I find any interesting information out that will help my fellow 08'ers, I'll share it.

I got my scores today... Three on both Biology and Chemistry. Not terrible, but a slight disappointment. I was hoping for a four on Chemistry.
Plus, one of my top colleges (Adrian) won't accept anything lower than a four... even though it's apparently easier than the other two (U of M and U of Toledo).

I didn't get my AP scores until today. I was really happy with my English Language and Psychology scores, but somewhat disappointed with World History. Considering the amount I studied for it, I should be happy. But I'm a perfectionist and thus upset. Oh well. Shut up, brain! I just spent the week at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA for a music camp. I don't want to go there-- because of things related to my future major and whatnot-- but it was a great experience. The campus was pretty and there were a lot of things within walking distance; it was in a very small town. The dorms weren't luxurious by any means-- but I could imagine living in them for a year and not dying (and I'm picky). The music staff was awesome-- I LOVED the flute instructor. Food was okay. Maybe that helped someone?

I'm not going to be getting my license any time soon, meaning that I'll have to end my years riding in the bus with the crazies(once again). I cannot tell you how bad it's going to be with the new spohomores.
Already looked at a school I want to get into, but I want a higher ACT score so I've been studying for it for September.
I'm really worried about counselor not changing my class from AP Gov to Honors.
I need a straight A year. Just so it'll make me look better amongst the rest.
I seriously need to find a place that lets people rent tubas, because I, by the time school ends, am so out of luck.

So I've filled out most of my applications for IUP, Mercyhurst, Wheaton and Millersville, I think I'm going to apply to Etown too, see if I get in... it woul be amusing to go to a college that's closer to my house then my high school (college is 2 blocks, HS is 6-ish)

Baker, "Most AP Grade Reports are sent by mid-July. Some reports take longer to process because of problems with identification information or the late arrival of materials from the testing location. Contact AP Services if you have not received a grade report by September 1." Probably not what you wanted to hear. I actually started answering some college app essay questions. I'm hoping if I get them mostly done over the summer, I'll mostly just have to deal with logistics in the fall.

I actually started answering some college app essay questions. I'm hoping if I get them mostly done over the summer, I'll mostly just have to deal with logistics in the fall. Good idea. I still have so much to do this summer. Two full-size paintings, including a 30x36 one, I believe, get some volunteer hours in to get a head start on NHS' 30-hour senior requirement, get a job (I'm hoping for my second interview), get another 35 hours on my license, and start filling out college applications. The bad thing is is that Indiana University is still one of my top school choices, but due to band camp scheduling conflicts and their very skimpy amount of campus visiting dates, I can't even visit Bloomington until at least October. I just procrastinate way too much. I've learned to quell that in school this past year, but I even do it over the summer. That's what is going to kill me in college.

I'm applying early admission to Virginia Tech , so I'll know before Christmas whether I"m going there or not. I'll probably get in, but I don't know whether I'll get deferred or not. I'm retaking my SAT and taking my ACT just in case they do defer me and the new scores are the swing vote during the regular decision process. I'm also applying early to James Madison University, but unlike Tech, it's non binding, so no worries there.

AP scores arrive for me in the mail. Threes in Chemistry and English. One in German. *shrug* German was evil.
