This is kind of a companion thread to "Freezing Face and Fingers". Just how cold is cold to you?

Below 40-35 degrees is when I start to feel cold. This is lower than most people, but then again, I run hot (ie, my metabolism is so absurdly high that it produces enough waste heat to keep me warm)

It was 30 a few days ago, and I was saying it was warm.
I voted for below 20 - at least this time of year.

I put below -20. As long as it's just that, not like that with wind, I'm fine. Windchill is usually what gets me. =3

It's all about the windchill. Really. Some of the coldest nights we've ever had, it's only been about 40 degrees without the windchill. We've had nights that are 10 or 15 degrees that feel warmer than 40 degress with killer windchill.

Assuming you mean <50, < 40, etc, colder than my house. Though the way my parents are about utility bills, that's really not saying much. I am from south Texas. We don't like it cold down here and a few flakes of snow is an excuse to knock off school.

Below 20 degrees is when i begin to feel uncomfortable, particularily while marching.

To answer this question I really have to say, "How warm is warm?"
Ok, not really. It just reminded me of the question my bd asks.."How loud is loud?" to which we all reply, "How soft is soft?"
But seriously, anywhere from 30 or lower. I like cold weather, though. We just don't get it here horribly bad.

I have established that most Texans are wimps when it comes to the cold. I hate cold but I'm quite content in a lighter coat until it drops below freezing. Then the peacoat comes out. I have yet to experience weather that would require the Arctic Expedition clothing that seems to come into vogue on campus.

We had school cancelled the other day because it was 40 below 0. THAT is cold.

We had school cancelled the other day because it was 40 below 0. THAT is cold. Luuuuuucky! We were at like 39 below (counting wind chill) and it wasn't canceled. Stupid wind chill changing to like 30 below when the district checked. >.<

As far as marching band goes, anything below 38 ( in November) is pretty cold. If the sun's out, its okay though. My band did our final performance on a strange, wet, cloudy, extremely windy (45 mph +), 35 degree day and our fingers were too cold to play very many notes. It was actually more fun than it sounds.

To me, it depends on the season. If its summer a random 50 day happens to be freezing to me. During the winter, I would kill for a 50 day. I consider cold around 25. The funny thing is, I can't remember the warm marching days really well, but I can remember the rehearsals where it is like 10 degrees perfectly.
