I live in east Texas. To us, typically, anything under around 55 F is cold! lol

Yup. And all those Northerners who start whining when it gets to be 80 outside. No complaints allowed until it is 110 degrees and 95% humidity.

Yeah, anything under 40 gets uncomfortable.
I've marched in band camps where the temperature on our parking lot was 120 degrees (we had thermometers on the podiums) and then you add like 10000% humidity. I really don't get hot any more. I just get annoyed when I sweat.

I'm pretty much a wimp when it comes to the cold. Anything below 40 is cold. And also when you factor in wind chill, it gets worse. And anything above 80 is pretty hot. So I kinda hate summer and winter in Oregon. =]

we do get 90+ degree days up in Minnesota. it's not cold all year long. just 5 months or so. starts snowing in late pctober but it only starts accumulating on the ground around Thanksgiving and starts melting by March. it's been relatively warm that last few days though. I don't remember the coldest marching rehearsal, but we had one my sophomore year. it was an in-school rehearsal and the field was covered in snow so you couldn't see the yard lines. made it exciting trying to hit your dots w/o slipping. we didn't bring out instruments or guard equipment. we just did a drill run-through and then ran back inside probably to watch DCI videos for the rest of the period.

I generally find the 30s and below to be cold, but when I was in marching band even the 50s seemed cold to me. Mainly because they made my hands cold. Luckily I always had gloves.

I did marching band in Wisconsin, so anything that got to the point where valves would freeze in the middle of a song or slides would stick or the woodwinds couldn't move their fingers was almost the breaking point. But we still played stands tunes even when it was in the teens. So unless you can't move your fingers quick enough there is no right to complain.

it depends on the season. but going off of today, it said it was 18 degrees and i just threw on a light coat and was fine. and a couple days ago it was only 30 but i was walking around in a t-shirt and felt just fine. about 10 is when i need to throw on a heavy coat, so i consider that cold
edits: also going off of some peoples responses, also when it comes to the heat in band camp back in high school when it was probably 90-100 i was perfectly fine in jeans and a t-shirt, when most the rest of the band was wearing shorts and either shirtless or sports bra's and/or tank tops. and lastly, when it comes to the instruments freezing, gloves never seem to help me. it sucks. the rest of my body always seems in good shape, but my hands wont move fast enough to play

AGGGGGGGGGH STUPID PARADE TODAY!! It didn't warm up like last year and I could hardly play. Less than 50 degrees the whole time, mostly in the mid 30's (dies)
