We got 5th out of... uhh... 10? I forget, I wasn't really paying much attention. But...we'll get em next time. The people who beat us better watch out.
But I'm so glad the first contest is out of the way. and even gladder that I didn't drop my sabre blade triple ( I fail epically at blade tosses)

lol where have i seen that placement before? =P (same as ours =D)
i made some pretty dumb mistakes though. like theres a point in the flag chorus where a single and a half was backed up 4 counts, and of course, i tossed at the original count. and it just so happens that people around me must've been watching me, because everyone tossed wrong then. -.- *facepalm times 758673873687687* ugh. oh and my solo quad on the bench...definitely dropped it =(

Hmm-hmm! Thanks! We used those raggedy things for marching season this year, and everyone liked 'em so much.
Hmmm...when we all exit the floor to start the flag feature / chorus, I'm the last person off still holding a flag.
I personally love the chorus too, but I'm still shaky on the ending toss (the 45 and a half), I give it enough rotation, not enough heighth.
EDIT: Ugh, I just rewatched it and saw I tossed incredibly late. >w<

so i just found out the guard that kills in our division every competition was only 4 points from being promoted. you would think if they beat 2nd place by over 10 points that means something. *grumbles*
and the worst part, they know they're good. they don't want to move up to the next division where they'd be low scoring again. but still, they show everyone else up everytime, and then rub it in. the captains salute (at the first comp mind you) he BOWED. i've never seen a captain bow. seriously, it kinda ticked me off. unless it had to do with their show, which i doubt, theres no reason for bowing. *sigh* i'm done.

They had the potential to be in 3A or 4A, but they stayed in 2A so they could leech off of the smaller bands
