winter season is around the bend (if not started for some)!! any news, any shows, etc, etc? also...what circuit are y'all in?
We are doing a song by the Dixie Chicks (Cowboy Take me Away). I'm kinda worried about that, in case some judges have some deepseated prejudice about them.... yikes..
So far the only thing worth mentioning is that our uniforms are sundresses (but nobody can find them...honestly, its the last day of november, its cold, no store has them...) and that for some reason, my director wants me to leap over the other captain, who'd be lying on the ground, and have me toss my sabre at the semi-same time...if that makes sense. poor girl, shes gonna have the wear protective gear..maybe i should bring her a helmet. lol.
oh, and we're in AIA circuit. (Atlantic Indoor Association).

We never know our show until winter camp, which is the last week of December.. But whatever it is, it's going to have a fast tempo?
I'm excited and nervous at the same time- it's my last season.
We compete in the North Star Circuit. It's like, Minnesota and western Wisconsin. And stuff.

I'm in the Armada Winterguard, competing in MWCGC (Mid-West Colorguard Circuit), class... let's see if I can remember this, I'm a guard rookie... oh, I can't remember. But we're competing with Evolution Winterguard and Velocity Winterguard. I think it's class IA, but I dont' know what it stands for... anyway, we started practicing a couple months ago, and I actually have practice this weekend. Our show, while I can't remember the name, is to music by a group called Cougar. It's all kinds of sharing weight, contact, etc. It's pretty sweet.

Our show is called "Gravity" and that's also the name of the song. Meaning we have a LOT of ground work, and gravitational pulling (people rotating around a point) It's pretty fast, and the weapon work is like nothing I've ever done before, so I'm really excited.
We compete in the Texas Color Guard Circuit (most of our competitions are in the Austin, Houston, Dallas area) We're Scholastic A (I think, but we might be Open)
We pretty much started winterguard as soon as marching band ended.

i'm in the eden prairie high school winterguard, and our song is "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor. It's about friendship, so there's going to be a lot of partner work. we also compete in the Northstar Winterguard Circuit (Minnesota and western Wisconsin) like Bandmutt08, and we're in Scholastic A class.

Oh, yeah! Lundy told me about Gravity at driver's ed, Baker! =D
Our show is untitled, but the music is called "Alone Again" by Newton Faulkner. Tempo = Too fast for most of us. XD
Our color scheme is either Blue or Teal with some kind of Brown. Then the floor is supposed to have one HUGE circle fading plus 2 tiny ones from the said Blue or Teal going lighter and lighter towards the middle.
We've learned the very last bit of work, the closing flag feature and, well, I understand it, there's just...the pitch/45 toss and a half. *gulps*
Yush, TCGC.

Yessum, Moe! It's more like a 45 and a half, I suppose. We catch it with the silk down, pole up. Holy crud. On weapon? O_____________________o
