Uhhhhm..... im guessing this would be your first time ever playing trumpet? If it is, yuou might not be able to play much the whole season. If it isn't, use the same embrochure as always. For starters, you have to, obviously, place your lips on the mouthpiece. And then just buzz your lips to make note. It should be like your'e kissing your mouthpiece, but with tighter lips. I'd suggest using an online guide, such as youtube. I also suggest having lessons, or your BD teaching you. But anyway.... try to get a good note out, it doesn't matter what it is. I should sound like an OOH sound, like trying to swallow a ping pong ball. If it sounds like AHH, its okay. If it sounds like EHH its bad. Try a lower note. Going up and down the scale requires buzzing the lips faster and lower, respectively. But you can never EVER puff out with your cheeks. Using your diaphragm or stomach are you best options. The only reason you would want to puff out your cheeks would be to circular breathe. But if you're just now asking about embrochure, circular breathing is probably too advanced for you. So thats the basics. Just sorta buzz your lips and go for it. It works for me. XD I would also suggest using a book, like Essential Elements. It effectively teaches you good breathing excercises and eventually makes you a better player. But asking us here at the forum is probably a bad idea, as we can't effectively teach you without being there to tell you if you're doing it right. hoped i helped. If i didn't... uhm.... just yell at me or someting. Ask ask a more specific question. Created a good embrochure is more complicated than it seems. XD

Try buzzing on the mouthpiece before playing. You can make a sound on the trumpet without even making the mouthpiece buzz, but that means you have something wrong.
If you have an Arban's Book (or know someone who has one), read the intro to that. It basically breaks everything down.

Well, I always try to have the same back posture when I stand and sit, so playing isnt very different. Although for a first time marcher, everything is pretty different. You need to have a very straight posture, with hips directly over feet, and shoulders directly over hips. Keeping you trumpet up is also hard, as your arm muscles aren't quite used to keeping the bell above parallel to the ground. You chin must be higher than normal too.
It seems like a lot, but it gets very easy. As I've been marching for four years, i can say that not everyone starts out with perfect marching. Almost no one. And playing while marching can also be hard. Keeping in step with the beat and playing can be especially difficult, especially when you can have awkward time sigs such as 3/4, 5/4, and 6/4.
