Ya know.... i don't really care what he did during his life.... but his music will live forever.

I hate to erm... hate on MJ, but. I liked him better when he was black. and while I am certainly saddened by his loss, I will be glad not to hear about him on television anymore. Poor guy. I felt so bad for him.
... and as a side note I wish people made a big fuss about Farrah Fawcett too. She was amazing in her own right.

Yeah she was.
My friends and I gave a memorial HEEHEE when we found out. Does that qualify as disrespect? We were worrying about that...

I found out while I was at the dentist yesterday. All of the ladies there were talking about, then my boyfriend texted me about it.
As creepy as he was after he started all those changes...
He was an excellent musician. He was the Elvis of his day. He will live on forever in his music, and will never be forgotten.

Wow - unbelievable. I grew up in his heyday (early & mid 80s), so I feel like part of my childhood died when he did. A very tragic story all around.

We were discussing in another forum how it would be an epic win if this was a publicity stunt and he came back to perform thriller at his funeral. But that's not going to happen soooo.....

Well he wasn't actually all that bad. I mean, isn't his whiteness just a skin disease? And Make-up? And there was no proof AT ALL that he had raped any kid at all. The kid was just his friend, like he said. Is it really illeagal to have young friends? I dunno.....

Gosh, I was at a church camp when I heard. A girl who had gotten a text told me and everyone was like, "Oh my gosh! Really? We should pray for him and his family!" and I took out my iPod and started listening to "Thriller". I LOVE that music video! Oh, and Phoenix Wright: he admitted that he would let kids sleep in his BED with him. No matter what, that's suspicious. Plus, I think the kid had said that MJ had... erm... don't that horrible stuff to him.

Actually, he was never found guilty for all that stuff... There's a lot of stuff that remains unclear, both on Jackson's side and the accusor. A lot of inconsistencies.
Anyways... I'm thinking that my band should play "Thriller" year. One, it's a way of honoring a great musician. Two, we have a Halloween show.

We played "Beat It" as a stand tune this past year, and we're soooo bringing it back again this time around. And, it's a low brass favourite. It's cool because whenever someone drops their part, someone else in the band will pick it up in their spot! Like, I'll take trumpet part because they drop during the verses.. but anyways! Like, two weeks before MJ died, I met these drum majors at a marching academy, and they said they were doing a Michael Jackson show this year, so now it's probably going to be something extra special. I'll try to get a tape of them, but can't make any promises. Or maybe get a tape of my band playing "Beat It" hmm...
