I just wanted to come back and post about how fate works in mysterious ways...
I used to post/lurk on TFBC oh about....4-5 years ago now, and met a lot of cool people (the only one I recognize now, aside from TFBC herself) is The Horn...who is now moderator: weird! Anyway, I got to talking to a few people outside of the forum (unfortunately their names on here escape me right now), and made a few good friends. So naturally, I go to college, get out of music a little bit (too busy and the school didn't have a good program), and lose touch with these people.
So, fast forward a few years.
Through the magic of facebook, I reconnect with a few of these people, but don't really talk to them. I'm in a relationship at the time, and when it finally ends (May of 08 or so), I change my status to "Brad is really in need of a change." For some reason, it attracts the attention of one of these old friends, Star of Indiana, who I see is still registered here hehe. So, she sends me a message on AIM asking whats going on, and I explain everything. We get to talking, and I find I am really attracted to her and think we have chemistry. I think she feels the same way. Only problem is, I live in Pennsylvania, she in southern California. So we continue to get to know each other, and she mentions she will be in Indiana for DCI finals week (it all comes back to band!). So I switch a few things around at work, and decide to meet her there. It was probably the most excited I've been in a while to meet someone. So August finally comes around and we meet. I was so nervous, but seeing her brought a smile to my face. We had a great time in Bloomington, helping to work the Pacific Crest booth and getting to finally go on our first "dates." Everything goes very well, and here we are, 5 months later, and I'm working to get licensed so I can move out there to be with her!
I wanted to post this saying thank you Tales From Band Camp! I really do believe in fate now, and I cannot express my thanks for bringing us together!
