So, as of the semester break this year, I am the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper, in addition to my band duties. The two classes are back-to-back, first thing in the morning, and have had very little interaction. However, now that my BD has convinced them to take Theater Arts away from him (he has no theater background whatsoever), he is going to co-teach Media (newspaper) with my math teacher.
Has anyone had a director for a non-music related class? How does it work for you guys?

I think my freshman year my BD taught one CAD class... Not exactly sure on that though.

My BD taught a keyboarding class (like, computers, not piano) and that was weird. My BD was also Dean of Discipline at my school ..

Well, let's see... we had this one crazy BD a few years back... She started as an English teacher, became assisstant BD that same year, assumed BD the next along with assisstant principal, and then just took over as full time assisstant principal the year after that. So, she was English teacher, BD, and assisstant principal consecutively... How someone promotes like that is beyond me.

One of mine once also taught art.
But the weidest one I've had, outside of band, was the fact that my ceramics teacher was also the varsity football coach. That was pretty weird.
