MIDDLE EAST GEOGRAPHY QUIZ Drag the country's name onto the map. There is neither humbling score nor time limit, but rather this exercise is a learning tool. Don't be afraid to make an error, and once you finish the puzzle, you will be far more educated about this very intense part of our world. www.rethinkingschools.org/just_fun/games/mapgame.html

Wow. I was surprised by how many of them I knew right away, a lot of them just from the shape of the country (yes, weird, I know, but I read a lot of atlases when I was a kid) and some from location. The rest of them, I at least knew they existed but had no clue where they were. I'm actually glad to know now because I like to have a picture in my head when people talk about the war, and my previous picture was like "okay so here's Egypt...and then there's a bunch of countries up here somewhere...and then here's Turkey." Nice find, TFBC, thanks for posting.

I had a bit more trouble with some of the countries than I would have liked. Mostly it was with the countries in Africa. I was pretty good with the countries in the rest of the map. I had the most trouble with Western Sahara being the same as Morocco. I know where Morocco is, but I didn't make the connection with it being Western Sahara.

I used to play with my GeoSafari all the time, so I was excellent at geography. I've gotten a little rusty. I was mostly okay with the main "chunk" that juts out from the Red Sea into the Indian Ocean (Iran, Yemen, Oman, Iraq, etc.). At least I'm sure I scored better than some people.

I spent so much time playing with my GeoSafari. I was a geography and history whiz for the longest time because of it!
