Pearl: I like Pearl for flutes and, even though I don't own one. I've played on my friend's student model and her piccolo, and both are really nice. I hear Miyazawas are good too, but I've never played one. Jupiter: My Jupiter flute is pretty. It's a 25th anniversary flute, so it has all the fancy schmancy engravings on it that our higher-end local music repair shop was impressed with. I just don't like how it doesn't have split-E. :\ It also doesn't have a serial number....Huhm... Emerson: My younger sister and I also have Emerson student models. They hold up nicely, but they're kinda on the bulkier side as far as keys and such go. Yamaha: I like Yamaha piccs (well, marching piccs). They're nice, durable, and ear-piercing! I laugh at Suzuki instruments, the Costco ones. xD They're so cheap. Also, the colored laquer makes me laugh, too. Ahahaha. I always get ads for them while on MySpace.

I like my selmer/bundy bassoon, but its pretty old, so doesn't sound as great as it should. I heard tht RS Berkley is really good.

I have only had one flute since sixth grade (I'm going to eighth this August) and its brand is Portland. It was really cheap. $200 (New. Silver plated.). I have heard "you get what you paid for" before, but it doesn't fall apart or anything. It's easy to get sound out of. With this flute I have gotten (and still have) first chair and a one on Solo and Ensemble. One or two keys leak a little if I play it for like 4+ hours (I get carried away when I practice ;D).I got it at www.worldwideinstruments.com/As for my tenor saxophone its brand is Jupiter (787GL Deluxe). I've had it since May and there's nothing wrong with it. It's so easy to get sound out of, even someone who hasn't played a reed instrument before it, can play it (me ;D). I got it at www.music123.com/

I LOVE my Gehmeinhardt flute. It's amazing and my baby. I also have a Yamaha piccolo, but I do want a new one. It's kind of a student-ish model.
