The endurance required to play tuba>endurance required to sing. It's close, but tuba wins.

^And you come by this knowledge how exactly? I think it would be very rare to find an opera diva (that is the correct term) who also plays tuba.

This is true. I have sung before, however, and also attempted to play tuba. I would venture to guess that singing opera would take more than tuba; however, singing with a concert choir does not.

^ Point. But voice major is opera/ solo type stuff. Wow this is getting off-topic.

Haha. Tuba playing is my new crack. I have actually completely ditched playing trumpet because I got braces that are made for a person who runs a severe risk of chipping teeth instead of regular braces so that I can play tuba. We have an almost all girl line this year, except the SL, who is a guy. There are four of us, and we are all really dedicated and hardworking. I'm so excited for marching season!

Where does this conversation leave singing while playing the tuba?

You called me? Multiphonics are my specialty. My director is a tuba major, and he calls them "Parlor tricks." But Idc they're fun. Anyway. I've been playing tuba for 3 1/2 years. Never regretted it once. I thought it would be lame and just play long notes. but I've found more challenge in tuba than anything I've ever played. Plus everyone knows that the tuba players get all the chicks

<3 Fnugg. Parlor tricks maybe, but I can't think of a better way to use a tuba to get a roomfull of people's attention.

HAHAHA. So true. I did that for one of my speeches in class. I've never seen a room of anyone go from laughing and smiling to jawdropped in so little of a time.
