I'm graduated! **edit** The 2008 Browncoat ball is in Austin! Only a relatively short drive from campus Now I'll have an excuse to make one of the dresses (but not kaylee's- that's a good way for me to get hurt ) Hopefully I'll find some fellow browncoats to go with me ... and drive me.

My sister graduates today! Now I get her room! I'm just kidding. We get along better than any other siblings I know. I'm gonna miss her when she goes to college.

^Me too. Your sister is awesome. I'm gonna miss a lot of seniors this year. I'll probably cry at graduation again.

Thanks! My grad party was a lot of fun- lots of cake and tacos and 20+ pairs of patterned socks. ;D We also played in my creek. Despite living in the middle of town we still have a mostly-wooded half acre completely with a lively and COLD creek (we have home videos of making 'pools' in it that we could actually swim in) And I just deposited my graduation gifts in the bank- I now can afford a good pair of boots and a saddleseat suit (not that'd I actually get one- maybe I'll get a dorky GPA instead)

So lately I've been keeping an eye out for large organizations or departments that hire my major (archeology/forensic anthro) so I'll have an idea about what to look into once I get my masters and I got REALLY excited when I found out my latest... NASA! It seems they have their own special team of archaeologists! That'd be an awesome job. ;D

I pretty much went to the most amazing concert ever last night. The DSO has this 8 Days in June festival thing they're doing and I went to the first concert. It was Mozart & Holst, and they played The Planets. Let's put it this way: I about died during Mars. It was just that amazing. True, there were some parts where I didn't like what they did with the balance or whatever, but for the most part, it was absolutely phenomenal. They had so many people on that stage, it was ridiculous. And it was an awesome contrast to the Mozart, where they only had about 2/5 as many people as they did for the Holst. Pretty much all the sections doubled, and some they didn't even have onstage for the Mozart. It was absolutely mind-blowing! You definitely heard the difference in dynamics at the end of that crescendo at the beginning of Mars. The only bad thing? There's nothing more intimidating than seeing a professional orchestra play the piece you're going to be playing in a week. Yeah. (but that doesn't mean I'm not excited anymore! I'm actually more excited)

My favourite pony in the whole world (he's the POA I may have mentioned before, the one who sent me to the ER) is up for adoption again. I can't believe how old he's gotten. He's too old to be a good mount for me but my dad's coworker (someone I ride for sometimes) is always looking for a good pony for her kids to hop on. I hoping she'll adopt him- he's an amazing little guy and that means I can also go visit him on breaks. I may be going to a very rustic cabin with three of my friends that I graduated with- rustic being no electricity or running water. Unfortunately it's right after my surgery....

I just got full points on my mid-term project for my spring Soc class, meaning all I need is a D+ on the final to get an A!

We took 2nd at our first parade!! That's fantastic for my band. We enter in parades where we are the smallest band in our class, there, period.
I also feel amazingly empowered right now. I usually sit at home, get mail from colleges, few of which I've heard from, and request more info from the few that catch my eye. But not 5 minutes ago, I went to a college website, clicked on their Fine Arts page, and requested info on music education. I feel so bold--and (call me a geek), but oddly... rebellious. Soon I'll be sneaking around, picking up litter or something devious like that.
