God's gift to woodwind players in pain! quodlibet.com/Index.phpA much better gift to remedy pain because then the entire weight of the instrument is taken off your body.

Mmm, yes, but if you're like me and weae back and forth and dance while you play... it could get complicated. Furthermore, my back muscles are man enough to handle it.

Your reed may be too soft... Or you may ve venting out another key and not realizing it- inadvertently bumping it... However, I'm afraid the most likely problem is that your embouchure is out of shape.

Well it has been getting better by blowing harder than usual. A friend of mine said it was probably from not playing it for a few weeks or something. What do you guys think?

I actually had that happen to me back in middle school. Completely random too. Luckily, the next day I was fine! It was so weird! My band director said it something with my brain and for some reason I was just adjusting my embouchure wrong.. (don't worry it didn't make much sense to me either when he tried to explain it to me). So, I'm probably not helping at all, but I thought I'd let you know you're not alone in the world. But, I agree with altoclarinets, your embouchure is probably just out of shape. So.. practice up! And try not to get too frustrated. ;D

Speaking of needing practice, I have a marching show 1st mvt to memorise and < 2 weeks to do it in. Oh, yes, and I also have to finish completely re- whatevering my room at the same time. On the bright, yet random, side I got 5's on all 3 of my AP tests and a 35 on my ACT!
