I recently got (free) a Bundy, Selmer trumpet and I have no idea what to name her. I need a rough or evil kind of name; she's tough. My trombones are named Beautiful Joe, after a book. (he's ugly, which is why he's beautiful) and Iggy (named after Igor Stravinsky). I have lots of guy names from books, etc. but I have no girl names. And there are few famous female composers. The bassons' names in school are also Maurice (the really good), Henry (the pretty good), Crappy, and Smelly. I need a name that's weird and has a reason behind it. If you don't have a reason behind it, just post it

A Bundy! That actually looks just like my Quinten.
Kerr seems like a good name. Feminine, yet still has a masculine overtone. And it sounds like "grr".
You can always add a suffix too. Quinten is in tough shape, so "The Destroyer" was added at the end. Add like "The Barbarian" or something utterly ridiculous at the end.

My first thought was "Ted" but them you mentioned it being feminine. I named mine after my favorite singers. "Roger" is for my crappy trumpet with poor tone quality, and 'Freddie" for my awesome trumpet for concerts. So that's my advice, name it after singers
