Our amazingly awesome field commander just graduated, and now we got two new ones. The two in question are good leaders, but one is really judgmental all the time and the other goes with anything the first one says. This sorta worries me. Anyone else have iffy field commanders coming up? Or anyone else have iffy field commanders before?

I'm a DM from a pretty small band, so what's a field commander? Is it just another term for DM?

Yeah, around here (jman and I go to the same school) we call them Field Commanders. I'm not sure why, but it's the same thing. And I agree with J. By judgmental, he means that she takes everything that you say and blows it up a little, and she has a knack of thinking that she understands the problem that you have and won't let you explain that it isn't the same. And the other is a little bit of a tagalong. Neither of these are really that bad, and I have confidence in them, but I know that a lot of people don't have that same confidence. Of course, I like to believe that I will have confidence in anyone who takes the lead because I have confidence in our band. That's just me though. = ]

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up.
And DM's... come in all types of personalities, you don't have to neccessarily like them, but as long as they do their job correctly and you're respecting their authority, I wouldn't worry too much about it. However, if your "field commanders" are causing problems and not doing their job, then that's an issue. If this is a personality issue and things are erupting, just calmly (CALMLY, we HATE when people come screaming at us saying "blah blah you can't do this right we hate you blah blah whine whine whine" because we're not going to listen, ever.) say something along the lines of, "Hey, I don't really understand -, can you help me try to things from your point of view?" But if you seriously just don't like the way they are as a person, I hate to this, but you're just going to have to get over it.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything, that's just the way it is.
