So what's the lowest thing someone has done in your band? Ours has to be either:
-The kid with the shrooms in London lying to our BD and taking advantage of his generosity or
-Whoever slashed the canvas bottom of my friend's marching snare with a boxcutter after we got back form London (we had pics...dunno where they went, but the slash was completely across from rim to rim...)

We have had everything form stealing instruments to a boy exposing himself during band class. I dont think it could get much lower than that.

Not sure if this counts... but last year in our old band building (which is literally just a room enclosed by poorly stacked brick) someone broke in 3 DIFFERENT TIMES and stole iPods, cellies, etc.. That place was easy to break into too...
Ex-DM is a hypocrite, yells/humiliates people telling them she hates them, snaps constantly, is manipulative, tried to hook up w/ one of the techies at band camp, lies, and swipes stuff out of cases. Fun.

This happened in our jazz band: One of the trumpet players came to the final concert stoned out of their mind, and even fell asleep during one of the pieces. Ugh...

Well, someone (or someones) broke in and stole our concert snare and high-hat before Christmas break last year. We finally found the concert snare halfway in the woods behind our school last month and we've only recovered the stand for the high-hat on Monday. Then there was the incident at the Thanksgiving game last year when one of my friends was wrongly accused of going behind the stands during the third-quarter break and getting high (the only reason anyone believed the girl who accused her of it was that she's the girlfriend of one of the DM's).
Those two are probably the lowest for me, but I'm sure there will be a new incident of low-ness to come.

We don't have too much bad things here.
Someone stole a sax's tuner. I want to hurt who ever did that. This kid is amazing. He's a freshman who composed an entire score, which the freshman band is now playing. He's simply phenomanal .
Everyone takes advantage of our band director. He cried the other day. It was really...awkward. I guess he cries three or so times a year in the guitar class he teaches, but normally the band kids, although though they don't like him, respect him a bit more. I wanted to strangle all of them. Our BD is really really nice and it makes me mad how everyone goofs off during band.

There are small lockers outside the bandroom in the hallway for flutes and clarinets. Someone stuck a bunch of used condoms in some of the lockers. It was disgusting and just terrible. We got a 45 minute guilt trip about it, saying that our BD didn't trust us or anything because of it. And he cried. Oh wow. That sucks. A band kid did that? Dang.

Hmmm.... Well i remember one time at a football game that a couple of girls, still in their UNIFORMS, were smoking behind the stands, and a bunch of people saw them doing it. There was another time when the drummers bowled with the giant concert bass drum in the band room. Besides that, i don't rlly know

Some really ignorant and undedicated jerks in my high school band didn't like the drum major because he simply wanted them to behave and perform their best for the good of the band, so they decided to egg his house. Our band has never been like that. It came as a shock to me and made me utterly sick. When our director found out, the culprits were too cowardly to confess until a bit of prodding (and if I'm correct, I want to say threat of judiciary action?) took place.

We don't know whether it was a band kid or not, but my freshman year, someone broke into our band trailer (where all our stuff is) and stole our spray paint (for marking dots) and our hi-bright lights (for night practices). We never found the culprit.
But, on the bright side, now we practice at an astro-turf field at Tuesday night rehearsals. Actually very good experience.

A couple years ago, someone took paint and Painted on our Field "Saine is Lame" or something like that, making fun of our best player at the time, before he graduated. (Brandon Saine)
They had to have a helicopter come wash it off the field.

My freshman year, one of our best percussionists shoplifted at a mall and was not allowed to perform in our competition that day.

This happened in our jazz band: One of the trumpet players came to the final concert stoned out of their mind, and even fell asleep during one of the pieces. Ugh... Pfft. That happens daily for our lead trumpet player, and he STILL owns the competition when we bring him to festivals. At least he did. Until he started on hydromorphone. We haven't seen him... for three months actually... Hmm.

at our spring music department trip to boston someone prank called our BD three times right before we went home. That was one of the first things he told us NOT to do when he gave us his cell number for emergencies. And my band director is not someone you would want to prank call. He's really big on respect. Because of this we narrowed down that it was definitely not a wind ensemble or marching band person, and most likely not the concert band either. We have three buses, and one of the calls was made from the bus, so we narrowed it down by bus that it was not bus 2 because I was on that bus and there were all the nice people and past and present dms. Bus one had our bd and the percussionists (who as our dm said are his cult...). Which leaves the choir and orchestra people on bus three. They took our cell phones and everything. And I have never seen my bd that angry. I hope I never will again. I don't know if they ever found out, and judging by how angry people were about what happened, I think it would be dangerous to announce it to the band.

A freshman showed up to band camp completely baked....Then called his dad at lunch to ask for a cigarette. Not only did he miss the first day of camp but he didn't even respect us enough to show up clean. He didn't play...at all. and his ten hut was standing there with his head back and eyes closed. He put absolutly 0 effort into it. And has a horrible cussing habbit...I personally wouldn't drop the F bomb in front of my DM.
