There's this girl who has only been at my school for 3 weeks. My BD hasn't tested her or anything, and he pretty much kicks me out of my position and gives her first part. Mind you, I never was on first part to begin with, but I won my spot. I don't know what to do. Please help!

You NEED to talk to your BD. Go into his office, and in the most respectful, professional way possible, ask him, "What the heck is going on?" (don't use that phrase, but you get the idea) It sounds obvious, but this is NOT how a personnel switch is supposed to be made (trust me, I went through a unit in one of my music ed classes that covered all those fun instrumentation joys). Your BD didn't test this person, and then didn't tell you why you were dropped. You are in a very strong position to question your director's decision. TALK TO HIM!!!

A lot of BDs can treat band like a cheesy sports movie-they just let a good person run the band. ^^I agree that you should express your feelings to your BD or even SL. It can be important to make them understand what it's like for you.

Maybe she tested before school one day? We don't test here... (I hate that so much!) so I don't know normal procedure.
Either way, talk to your band director.
