ok, so this has probably said before, but i'm going to ask anyway because i haven't seen it. i'm so annoyed right now! ok, so i'm a flute and i'm really close with the rest of my section, i was going out with this guy who plays percussion and was best friends with like, the whole trombone section. anyways, so we broke up and he was soo down about it his parents seriously moved him to a different skool. i honestly feel really bad about this, i mean i was friends with him for a long time before we went out, and i feel horrible. but, now the entire trombone section (except for one) and most of the percussionists absolutely hate me. which in turn, makes the flutes hate them, which makes most of the clarinets hate them too. i feel really bad because it's totally splitting up our band and i'm in the middle of it. anyone have any advice?

It's not all your fault. If breaking up with a girl is all that tears him up he obviously has more issues that need to be resolved. Everyone needs to see that. It's like parents that say "I don't want my child doing _____ because it might ruin their confidence." Well, if that's all it takes, they didn't really have much confidence to begin with.

Classic band drama-not you're fault. Band geeks often decide they are going to show characteristics of 'normal' people. This includes these kind of things. It is not your fault and will fade off in time. It may not even be as bad as you see it.
