I'm a senior this year, and I sorta know how you feel. Before senior year started I didn't want band to begin, that way it wouldn't have to end. We sorta had a rough year this year, and by the end of it, I was ready for it to be done. Now I'm ready to graduate. I don't want to be in high school any more.
All people are different of course, but I think once it starts coming to an end for you, you might be a little more comfortable with that fact than you are now, considering that you'll have better things to look forward to, like college, that all the other classes have to wait 1-3 years to enjoy lol.
Good luck with your senior year next year!

i'm a senior this year too and i'm totally getting senioritis. you sort of get to a point where you're so sick of filling out applications, writing essays, waiting for acceptance letters, school, band, clubs, outside of school stuff, etc. that you can't wait for that next chapter of your life. i do fall and winterguard and you have no idea how ready i am to say goodbye to winterguard and we haven't even started competing yet!! marching band is truly one of those things you'll remember forever, but it doesn't have to end after high school!!! there's always college or, if you're really ambitious, there's drum corps too, and since you're in guard, there are tons of independent winterguards out there too. i'm personally not doing winterguard after this year, but that's because there aren't any near my prospective colleges, and i like fall better anyway.

Leaving your high school band is really hard. I remember wondering if I would ever have the same experiences and friendships in college band as I did in high school. The truth is high school band is an experience in itself and can never be matched. If you plan to go to college band, it still proves to be a wonderful and worthwhile activity, just different. I love my college band. I've met some wonderful people and wouldn't trade it for anything. Just remember, hold on to your band memories, but there is a big world out there after high school.

Or a little world if you go to community college. lol. jk seriously. School is school. There's always more musical joy to be had.
