400 is big for some of you guys? Wow, our graduating class had 520. Love playing pomp over 4 times while watching the band director freak at the drums for speeding.

But seriously, would your school do something as far-out as playing STAR WARS at a high school graduation? We play an arrangement Coronation March every year. xP Only the past two years it's gotten abruptly stopped at the worst possible times. And this year the horns blew up and ate each other. So did the saxophones. It was embarassing.

Wow...our graduating class was tiny, between 90-100 people. We still ended up playing Pomp and Circumstance 8 times... DX

But seriously, would your school do something as far-out as playing STAR WARS at a high school graduation? Our school played an arrangement of Star Wars, Jarassic Park, and ET as a recessional at our middle school promotion ceremony. It was a song that the 7th grade band played or concert band and our Director thought it would be a good attention grabber. The ceremony is just kind of a mix-and-match of players who get out of class or are in 7th grade band. lol. We had a graduating class of 198 this year, and I think that we played Pomp and Circumstance 9 times. = / You get to know it pretty well that way. In fact, I think that, if our band director would write drill for it, the marching band could probably march it on the lawn while they walk in. lol. But yeah. My class, as of now, has 250 kids in it right now, so soon it will be 300, so that is what I would estimate my class size to be. Poor next generation band. = ]

But seriously, would your school do something as far-out as playing STAR WARS at a high school graduation? Funny you should mention that. The Wind Ensemble at East Tennessee State University (where I'm from ) is playing the Throne Room theme as the graduates march in. Yeah, it's marked as "March Grandioso" in the program hahahahaha. My BD is awesome.

^At Tennessee Tech, we played March Grandioso during our pregame show and during parades and stuff. We call it the Chocolate Muffin song (the trombones sing it and the only two words are chocolate muffin lol)... Assuming we are thinking of the same song? Starts at about 2:00 www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W3O0erghBg
