^*Drool*
That's you that did the horn solo, right? It was prettyful.
Awesome drill. I wish we were that big so we could do cool stuff like that.
Thank you for being a big band that actually marches. At the competition we went to yesterday, we saw almost every single big band park and play pretty much the entire show. Seriously, one band had like 10 sets the entire show, moving about 2 inches for each one. It was soooooooo boring.

^Thanks. This year, we actually stand still more than we have in the past. It's a new concept for us. We've added more visuals and phrasing since then though. I *hate* park-and-play bands. It's called marching band for a reason...

Yeah, park and play bands annoy me too. It also annoys me when gigantic bands march out in a single file line. We don't even do that and we have less than 100 people.

^Yeah, with smaller bands it's not a big deal. But some bands who have like 200 people march out in a single file line and it takes FOREVER and it annoys me so much.

haha our band has moments of insanity also. and we also have some posted on facebook its soooo funny. and wow thats pretty ironic your guys do that after shows too. the laser thing i mean. cuz in my band we have this insane BD that does that alll the time. and once he pointed it at someone who was out of the set..and i looked closer and he was pointing to me! but since you cant see the faces nobody else could tell it was me but i knew it was cuz thats where i stood. it made me feel soooo bad and embarassed. but the worst part was i wasnt even out of the set! it just looked like i was cuz someone else was missing. it made me miss one of my other BDs even more.

Since we don't do Street Fest anymore due to the construction on memorial stadium, we just warmup outside of the stadium then walk in. But of course, us trombones love to entertain, so we do a little Bone Cheer, along with our "run down the hill screaming like crazy" tradition. This ones actually pretty tame. Enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VX5GEWrtDA

Uhh, stickshifty, I must say.... WOWWWWWWWWW. 1. I can hear your tubas. Granted, you probably have like 35 of them. 2. YOUR BAND CAN MARCH! What a novel concept! 3. Your drummers in the beginning looked very Cavalier-ish. Awesome. 4. Your horn solo was gorgeous. Keep up the good work! Is that actually Vanderbilt's stadium? If so, awesome. I may be marching in it next year for college (I hope)!

^ Thanks!!!!!!!! And yes, that is actually Vanderbilt stadium. You would think that at Vandy, they would pay special attention to the field conditions, but I do have to say that the yardlines were nonexistent. The echo wasn't that bad though. Here's the Bandmasters (at the University of Memphis) video... I thought we played and marched here (even though we lost by .005). video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3227126949001118188

Yeah, when we went to VMI last year, me and some other people had to put a prop on the field, and we couln't even read the numbers for the yard lines. It was pretty bad. We almost put it in the wrong spot, lol. EDIT: YAY! 500 Posts!

Our Festival show (minus the choreography) at the Penn State game, featuring Ritual Fire Dance, Sabre Dance, and Tiger of San Pedro. Sorry about the quality... 1:32, oh yes, the stadium went nuts... www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRMMAN5waJk

...I've been scanning the net to see if anyone has posted videos of our performance at the Gator Bowl, but no one has yet- which is a shame, since it was probably one of the best performances in the history of the band thus far. I may end up just ripping and posting the video my parents took of it if I have time, in the next couple days. In the meantime, I *did* stumble upon a video of our exhibition performance at the Oakton Classic back in October.
