our director wont let us march bass clarinets we have a contrabassoon in our band, he doubles on it for lincolnshire posy. theres 2 contra clarinet players at our school. our oboe player plays english horn sometimes, I think in lincolnshire posy also. and we have an Eb soprano and Alto clarinet in clarinet choir.

We used to march bari saxes and we still march bells. In concert band we had a contabass clarinet. We are also playing this one song that doesn't have a bass clarinet part, so she's playing the E flat clarinet...the runt. Also, at All-Ohio State Fair Band 2004, they made bass clarinets march.

*startled* I hadn't realized that baris were considered rare instruments.
We've got five bass clares, that march when we...um, when we march, which isn't often. Five weeks of the year, maybe (practice and the parade). And us two baris march, of course -- that's us in my icon.
