I do. My flute's name is Ed. And my trumpet's name is Sydney. (Don't call him Syd!)
I think it's the dorkiest thing in the world to name your instrument, but I love it. It sorta creates a bond, y'know? My friend's clarinet is named Larry.

Yeah, I named my clarinet Vicki. ^^ Most people I know (in real-life) name their instruments, whether they're a band geek or not, just for the fun of it.

I know there's already a thread like this, but I just had to say holy crap, itty... wow. *salutes* I finally named my corps baritone R2-D2 because of its serial number. I see my alto sax Vladimir is on the list. My trombone is named Ricky, short for Ricochet because the first time I used it, I pulled the slide too hard and it rocketed back into my lip and slit it right open. The school oboe has two names - Joel and Chester, so we just call him "Joel-Chester." And finally, the tenor sax I use was named "Mard" by a bassoon player... for a reason which I can't remember. Oh, and both of my flutes are nameless because I can't play them. The Gemeinhardt is called "The Flute."

Well, ittybittybone covered my flute and oboe (Riley, whose nickname is Fluffy, and Dave), but now I have 2 lead steel drums I play on. The one I use in Toucan Band (the lower band) is Bruce. My Pandemonium (the upper band) lead's name is Will Riker because there is a Star Trek sticker on his case and I like Commander Riker.

I used to nickname my bone's case after my little sister. Because I'd stand up the case on its end, and put my winter coat and hoodie on it , and it'd look just as tall as her lol

My Bb clarinets name is Claire Christine, and April's clarinet is Annette (we're just that creative). My friends French Horn is Raj and her Mellophone is Titus Saber. Another friend's trumpet is Freidrick Fredrico (I insisted that his middle name be Fredrico). And I just got an Eb clarinet, which needs to be named! Any suggestions?
