Sleigh Ride and Stars and Stripes should be banned!!! Variations was a pain the *. But the moderate triplets in the middle were fun as long as you knew when to stop!
Pain to learn but fun once you got it- Manhiem Steamroller version of God Rest Ye Merry. LOVED playing Carry On my fresh year. Hated 'Stairway to Heaven.'
Oh, and Shanandoah(sp?). Pretty. Severly slow. Massively bored the entire time.

Immigrant song ALMOST beats out Hand that Feeds for the Worst stand Tune Ever Award. But the 17- measure high C at the end of HTF keeps it in the #1 UGH spot for the 3rd year in a row.

Almost anything by Alfred Reed...he wrote in the most awful keys...
Festival Prelude. Yuck. Reed obviously never played a euphonium in his life, because the euphonium part for that piece is arranged without regard to notes that actually sound good.
Russian Christmas Music. RIDICULOUSLY slow for about 7 minutes, then it's super loud and has a brief period of complete and total french horn awesomeness, then goes back into the rut of thick chords and concert D key signature. Ew.
And who can forget the Jackson 5 classic, "I Want You Back". It has (unfortunately) become one of our band's signature stands tunes.

Fantasy on Yankee Doodle=worse song ever . It was by far our easiest wind ensemble piece, yet we spent more time on it than any other piece of music because it was our student teacher's conducting piece.

Louis Louis and Hang on Sloopy. They are the most evil songs EVAR. I have to play the solo in Louis Louis, and i'm never ready for it. And Sloopy is just boring. -.-

Almost anything by Alfred Reed...he wrote in the most awful keys... .................. Ahh! Have you ever played his Armenian Dances (Part 1)??! Absolute LOVE. 12 123 123 12 12 123 123 12...... ;D Man I freaking love that piece.
Variations on a Korean Folk song was fun! I love the high runs.
English Folk Song Suite... I was ready to kill myself because we played it in youth orchestra Sept.-Nov., then we started playing it in band after marching season, so end of Oct.-Dec. The overlap of playing it all week then on the weekend was painful, and I didn't appreciate the extra month I got to play it after we finished it in orchestra. That was torture. ><

And Sloopy is just boring. -.- And, they're almost the same song. I've played the Gillingham Be Thou... The 5 sharps are annoying, but it's mostly scale runs. (with double sharps, ** hooray**...) Worse is the part with 32nds towards the end- so hard to line up!

Sleigh Ride, Pomp and Circumstance, 25 or 6 to 4, and Final Countdown...
And anything Star Wars related (for my college years). Ugh.

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here... Anyway...I HAVE MORE HATRED!!! Ye Banks and Braes O' Bonny Doon by Grainger. Pretty to listen to, but so horribly boring to play. I love Grainger, but this piece made me want to throw myself off a cliff. And I have come to strongly dislike Tichelli. I can't quite explain it, but the fact that we've played SO MUCH OF HIS STUFF is kind of a turn off.
