www.onlineathens.com/stories/071009/uga_461666016.shtmlWe always had to share the practice fields with the football team, and lately the band hasn't been able to even practice due to limited time and resources. Now they have their own practice field (thanks to UGA, the UGA Alumni Association, and the UGA Redcoat Alumni band donations)! Do the rest of you have your own practice field, or do you share it with intramurals and/or athletics?

We share ours with some of the intramural teams, but it's a really nice artificial turf field, so that generally doesn't cause any problems.
I'm not sure we're even allowed anywhere near the football practice fields, but I honestly think our field is nicer and more accessible.

We technically have our own practice field. It's the south quad, we just paint our yard lines on it, throw up a scaffold and BOOM! Instant practice field. There are only a couple problems with it: 1) The grass is completely ripped up (especially in the center where the drumline hangs out), 2) We have no lights, so our late season rehearsal become very short because we can't see anything, and 3) People like to use our practice field as a football field. We just kick them off when it's time for rehearsal.

btw, i used to be epguardchk09 incase you didn't know. anyways, KU has a pretty crappy asphalt practice field on West Campus which is across Iowa street (one of the main roads in town) from main campus. my high school had to share fields with the various sports.

My high school kindly gave the band the faculty parking lot... which is 5 feet shorter than we need and so the athletic dept proportionality shortened the field. That didn't work so well. BUGWB has Edge Field (on the edge of campus) which the greeks has a habit of hosting crushes on and so we have crayfish parts embedded in the grass and some intramural use it but overall it's all ours... until Baylor builds on it in a few years. Through all it's flaws we do love our fire ant infested field. It's closer than the football practice field (this year they put in a practice field across the street from campus, before that the football players had to travel to the stadium across Waco)
