So I need TV show suggestions. To unwind after work/classes( when I'm at school) my boyfriend and I like to watch TV but we tend to go through whole series. So far we've watched all of: Roswell, Pushing Daisies, Dark Angel, Dr. Who (new series), Torchwood, How I Met Your Mother, and a couple similar that I'm not thinking of right now.
However, we've run out of ideas. He's going through X-files (I watched that on the original run) and then we're watching DS9. But after that we're clueless. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

If you're on a scifi bent, I recommend Babylon Five. It's aged surprisingly well, and was probably the first show to plan out the plot of the *entire* series before filming even began (which was later done by Battlestar Galatica and, to a limited degree, Lost).

Lost. I'm almost done with Season 4 right now. It definitely keeps you guessing. Quantum Leap was a fun series as well.
If you would like to see a classic TV series that isn't too long but makes you think, try The Prisoner.

Looks like we're sticking to scifi/fantasy if that's any help. Buffy was added to the list.
(NCIS and SVU are my shows)
OOo I also forgot we watch "Big Bang Theory"

I approve of How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory. and your choice of Buffy.
Beyond that... I watch Cold Case, Flashpoint, Without a Trace and The Mentalist. I'm also terribly fond of Stargate SG-1, Battlestar Galactica, and Andromeda.

I really, REALLY need to finish out the season of The Mentalist. I have no idea how it ended.
I'm a Bones fan. Truly madly deeply...It probably stems from watching Buffy and Angel as a kid with my aunt.
And I briefly got into Lie To Me. It was a good show but I didn't have the time to watch it.

Awww you guys suck (not really, though) lol. I have NO TIME for Tv. It's always Drum Major-ing, working through scores, arranging/composing music for the band, practicing my instruments, doing my jazz, teaching tuba lessons and volunteering at elementary band. Goodness, that's a mouthful! But, I love what I do, even if it drives me insane. I had a forensics (forensic science AND debate)/biology class this year and we watched a lot of CSI: LV, I thought that was pretty good.

Yes, definitely add Star Trek Next Generation if you haven't seen that one yet. I've seen a good amount of the original ST, but STNG is my favorite. I haven't seen any of the other ST series.

We were both raised Trekkies (actually my dad got in trouble with my mom because instead of watching my birth he was watching STNG). The first time he met any of my family was to go see the latest movie when I was moving out this past May. So SciFi is kind of in our blood (we bonded over watching the entire series (14 episodes) of Firefly and my awesome bag that proudly proclaims my Brown coat affiliation.) I have most of Atlantis and SG1 boxed up to go to my apartment but we've been through most of those already (I'm a *bit* of a David Hewlett fan) Thanks for the ideas everyone! Awww you guys suck (not really, though) lol. I have NO TIME for Tv. I'm not sure how this TV thing will work in the fall semester since I have band on top of my courses...

Psych and Monk are really good; but basically I'd recommend anything on the USA channel.

House is awesome. It's probably my favorite. I love th erandom one-liners.
Psych is hilarious! Fake psychic. Real detective.
It's Monk's last season this year, which is kind of sad... but I haven't been watching it a lot lately...
One that hasn't been listed that it probably right up your alley would be Supernatural. It stars Jared Padalecki (Dean from Gilmore Girls) as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester. It's not really comedy, but there are a few funny moments. (Notably an edpisode involving a "lucky" rabbits foot... Dean: I'm Batman. Sam: Yeah, you're Batman.) Anyway, the two are brothers who become demon hunters. They go through a lot of urban legends and get into some heavy duty supernatural stuff. It's definitely a good watch.
