Intro to Museums? What is that?

"A survey of museums including differentiating types of museums; the policies for collecting, interpreting, and preserving artistic, cultural, and scientific objects; and how individuals aid museums to achieve their goals of cultural identity, public service, and community development."
It's a pre-req for all the courses in my museum studies minor (so one day I can be a curator, after graduate studies of course) and it fits in really well with my anthropology major

Math 115, TR 3:40-4:55 Musicology 210, MWF 11:15-12:05 Solo Class, TR 12:40-1:55 Studio Orchestra, MWF 2:10-3:20 Wind Ensemble, MTWTRF 10:10-11:00, 9:40-10:55 Symphony Orchestra, MWF 4-6 Horn Ensemble, TR 2:10-3:25 Horn Lesson, TBA Brass Quintet, TBA Ear Training, independent study Theory 120, independent study? The only class they're offering is during Wind Ensemble and as silly as I sound, I refuse to be in Symphonic band (12:20-1:10 MWF) because I cannot stand the director (I made a thread about him a month or so ago as he substituted for Wind Ensemble this semester while the head director has been on sabbatical and is returning in the fall).

Advanced Conducting/Teaching Strategies, MWF 9:00 (First class of the day!) Concert Band 2, MWF 10:00 (Yay for playing on secondary instruments!) Educational Psychology, T 11:00, R 10:00 (my last education course before student teaching! AAAAH!) Trombone Studio, (officially, studio and ed psych conflict, but since my studio requirement is complete, my professor has waived the studio requirement so that I can still take lessons in prep for my senior recital!!) Teaching of Choral Music, MWF, 12:00 (required, in case you end up in a school where instead of being the band person, you are the MUSIC person...for K through 8...) Principles and Techniques in Music Education, MWF, 1:00 (This class might be the death of me, I've heard it's pretty intense) Jazz Pedagogy I, TR, 2:00 (Yay for not doing anything jazz related in...3 years...wow, my life sucks...) Seminar in Music Education, M 6:00 (Just talking about getting ready for Student Teaching) and last but not least... MARCHING ILLINI!!!, MWF 4:10-5:45, TR 5:00-6:20, T 8:00-9:20 All told, it's 18 hours, but most of it isn't that bad. My tuesdays and thursdays only have two classes beyond marching band, so this should be nice.

Wee for high school. This is what I know so far: Concert Band Graphic Media Political Science Trigonometry Honors English US History Earth and Space Science Physics
Until very recently it has been that we have four ninety-minute blocks, with the first and third divided into two forty-fives some classes that don't work as semester classes, like band. Now they've added fourth-block skinnies. Band is usually first period, with concert 1a and jazz 1b, which works because people can do it as a block under the right circumstances. Now that might change, somehow...

In no particular order, next year I should have:
Psychology Honors English III, Biology II, (No more Chemistry for meeeeee!) Dual Credit Pre-Calc American Gov't/Economics Band
And possibly American History. Quick vote: Better to get in my two histories this year and be able to take Advanced American History senior year for a college credit, or take the college credit Pre- Calc/Trig this year? I'm a bit afraid of it. Math. :/

OOOO!!! I love this time of year. Funny how I'm taking morning classes, but I'm not awake in the morning. I just can't function in afternoon classes (afternoons are for nap/hw/study group/...*ahem*
905 MWF- GKIN 100 - Lifetime Fitness at Wellness (Kinesiology course) 1010 MWF - PHYS 240 - University Physics I 11 MWF - CHEM 341 - Organic Chemistry 4-630 M - PHYS 140L - General Physics Lab I 8 TuTh - GMUS 200 - Music in General Culture 1245 Tu- CHEM 387L - Integrated Organic/Inorganic Chemistry Lab (lecture) 2 Th - CHEM 387L - Integrated Organic/Inorganic Chemistry Lab (actual Lab)
anyone notice what is missing from my fall schedule? Yup. Marching band. I sent in my "I will not be returning to the MRDs this semester" letter on Monday. I have to pull up my GPA.

Sooo....to make a long story short, UVa has decided that I've reached my quota of full-time semesters, and is forcing me to go part-time for my last year here. As a result, I'm only allowed to take two courses per semester; fortunately, I only need four more courses total to graduate.
So, for this fall, my two courses are:
BIOL 427 Animal Behavior Laboratory and PCLP 101 Intro to Comparative Politics (this is to fulfill my Social Sciences requirement, which I thought I already did, but it turns out the psych course I took didn't count).
I'm also going to be marching, and will probably see if I can get a job as a research assistant for either the Astronomy or Biology departments to help build my resume.

... you guys are already signing up for fall courses? GRRR! This trimester system sucks. Big time. I just started spring quarter (err... trimester) three weeks ago! But, here's my schedule now: Intermediate Microeconomic Theory M/T/Th/F 8 AM Drawing: Process and Synthesis M/W 9-12 AM Studio Concepts T/Th 9-12 AM Introduction to Ethics T/TH 4-6 PM My courseload is pretty easy this quarter, so I'm doing a ton of other things (like working out, going to more meetings, Tau Beta Sigma stuff, etc.). I don't know what I'll be doing in the fall, really, except for marching band.

Well, I'll be doing PSEO part time so half of my classes will still be at the high school. So, unless the classes are filled, this'll be it.
Honors Trigonometry (@ HS) Concert Band (@hs) Ancient and Medieval World History M/W 3-5pm German Language and Culture I T 12-2, Th 12-1 College Vocabulary F 1-2

Haha.
I have no clue what my schedule looks like since I didn't have an adviser all semester and he just now emailed me back about who I have to see about it after a week and a half. But it is tentatively:
Mus 142-Appreciation of Music: MWF 12Pm-12:50PM Ger 101-Elementary German: MWF 9AM-9:50AM PSC 104-Am-National Politics: MWF: 10AM-10:50AM PSC 105-Fundamentals of Politics: TR: 11AM-12:15PM PSC 405-International Organization: TR: 12:30PM-1:45PM Mus 266-Marching Band: MWF: 3:30PM-5:30PM
Yeah...my schedule is going to suck next semester thanks to music completely screwing me over in the fall semester.Ugh.There goes all my sleep for next semester.
