So now that some of us have graduated from high school, how many of yall have started working as staff? I worked only one camp last year, and hopefully I can work some more this year. I haven't staffed the high school I graduated from though, I feel like I'm too freshly out of it for me to treat the students as students and not friends (because I still love my younger little mellomaphones *pinches cheeks*).
My slight dilemma: I don't know how to ask other directors if they have their position filled or not. The camp I worked last year (and this year too) is because the assistant director from my old hs moved to the head director at a school like 10 minutes away. I secured my summer job when I saw him this December at Target lol. But I've composed this email for the potential directors:
Does that sound appropriate? I have a real (professional-looking) resume that would obv be attached.

I wish I was helping Staff band camp. It would really help for the start of college in the fall. However, my band director doesn't let you staff the first year out of high school. Hopefully, he'll call me up next summer to help.
