The K-State Marching Band is in danger of losing its funding through SGA. After having the smallest budget in the Big 12 and having one of the biggest programs, the funding that is so vital to the development and growth of the program at risk. SGA has decided to lower the bands budget for next year and in 2011. They will be down to ZERO FUNDS in 2012! This means they would be the only college in the Big 12 without a marching band! They have good students, and an amazing band director. They deserve to be able to play during football games. The band is doing everything they can to help raise money to keep the MB alive. But they could still use some help. Please go to: www.thepetitionsite.com/1/savetheksubandsAnd sign the petition to help save The Pride of Wildcat Land.

SGA is the Student Governing Association. They are pretty much a council that help decide where the funds go, how much, etc. The athletic department does give the band some funds, but it is not enough to keep them running and keep them going long-term wise.
