Okay so I may have mentioned it on here but over the past few years BUGWB and the Baylor School of Music has been in some transitions. This past summer Dr. Barry Krauss, the band director for several years was not given tenure and so chose to leave Baylor for a school in Tennessee. He left earlier then expected so the previous assistant director, Mr. Colin McKenzie stepped up to acting head of BUGWB and they hired a temporary director, Mr. Rick Espinosa. We knew this was temporary for the year. Now through a long, drawn out process, we had to hire new staff as our head director must hold a doctorate. Mr. McKenzie is going up north to work on his Doctorate. We hired Mr. Espinosa in the role he had this year except without the temporary status. And to replace Mr. McKenzie we hired one of Michigan's directors, Dr. Odajima.
So we're looking forward to some major changes in the leadership. Has anyone heard anything about Dr. O? I'm kind of worried about his hard-coreness.
