Aww, it's only the first week. Chin Up! Okay that sounded far too peppy *punch in the face* lol, kidding. Yes, its only the first week, AND I'm hardly taking classes at all. But still. Freaking Calculus 2 is kicking my butt already.

18 hours of classes and $63 in books. Somethings not right with that. And my left forearm is covered in paint.

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!! They cancelled it because it's really cold here... Not as cold as up north of course, but I think the high tomorrow is going to be 17, so they cancelled school! Yay! 4-day weekend for me!

^*now* I understand your facebook status, so glad I'm here now How is a textbook that much?! Get used to sticker shock if you order from the bookstore next year. My 17 credits last semester cost me ~$700 on textbooks and my 14 this semester cost me $402 when reusing one from the previous semester. Though I can't say any cost me more than 110 on any one book, and that was my geology lab manual (that I couldn't see back *grumble*)

Yay! 4-day weekend for me! Pardon me, but WHAT? They cancelled school here Thursday and today because of the cold. It was -30 without windchill Thursday morning, and similar this morning. The condensation on our windows in the house is still frozen, and it's 10AM and sunny. The biodiesel fuel some of the buses use here separate and gelled up so kids had to wait 45 minutes for their buses. I am freaking out because they closed school and my instrument's there and I need it for honor band on Monday... And I know that you're from (?) Tennesse, right? So 17 would be cold for you. It's just that it's been solidly below 0 here for 3 days in a row (temp, not taking windchill into account), and that hasn't happened since February of 1996. Today the high is 6 above. It's balmy! I went out and got the paper without a scarf on and thought it was simply glorious. EDIT: I got into the school and the band room through the choir room. Mission accomplished.

I was talking to my mom on the phone and my hand froze in the "cell phone holding" position. and my earrings froze to my ears... and my eyebrow piercing is STILL numb.
