Because he was the one that started our band program, our band heavily focuses on Key Poulan music (Santa Clara Vanguard). Since last year, I think we're going back to premiering Poulan originals. This year, it's "Lux", Latin for light, and it's about the evolution of light.

This year our show is called PATHos, and each movement symbolizes a different "path". We're playing Ballet Suite No. 4 by Dmitri Shostakovich, Mikrokosmos Ostinato by Bartok, Vide Cor Meum from "Hannibal", and another piece, but then we're ending it with Ballet Suite No. 4.

Our show is Fiesta on the football field. The only bad part is we have to play Malaguena.

Our BD last year wanted World War II. Lame. We're not allowed to use rifles because our Admin is stupid and won't let us. (It's not our fault there's been two shootings in the last ten years)
But our BD this year, who is the returning BD from my freshman year (Junior this year), she let us re-vote and we decided on Meet the Beatles. Opener: Blackbird Ballad: Come Together (which is actually a bit faster then Blackbird?) Closer: Let It Be

Our show this year is Broadway-themed. I like the music, for the most part.
Opener: Fanfare and Saigon No One Mourns the Wicked/Defying Gravity Seasons of Love Finale: Lion King and Finale

I feel like my band's show is the only one no one recognizes at all. Everything else is kinda, known.

I don't know if this is the real show name, but we're tentatively calling it "Four Generations of Rock", as this year is all about making the school realize that hey, you have a band.
Opener: We Didn't Start the Fire / Piano Man (Billy Joel) Ballad: Any Way You Want It (Journey) Drum Break: Jump (Van Halen) Closer: The Pretender (Foo Fighters)
And the director actually got a song with a trumpet solo. So good to have him back~

I feel like my band's show is the only one no one recognizes at all. Everything else is kinda, known. We NEVER do known music, always some intense contemporary show. I wouldn't want it any other way. Our show this year is The Laws of Motion, and our drill is insane. The tempo is 180 and we are basically running the entire time. The show is about 7 minutes; we have marked half the first tune and we already have 23 pages. And it constantly switches around from 6/4 to 5/4 to 3/4 to 4/4 to 2/4. It is awesome.

I don't even know what you would call our show. It's a "road" theme, and includes songs from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked.

We're doing a Beatles show. The opener is Eleanor Rigby and has the songs: A Hard Day's Night, Can't Buy Me Love, Magical Mystery Tour, When I'm Sixty-Four, Something, Hey Jude and the closer is The End. *cricket chirp*

^ We did a Beatles show last year too. We did the combined version of Magical Mystery Tour/Hard Day's Night, then Yesterday, I Want to Hold Your Hand, and closed with Hey Jude.
I have the feeling I've posted this already... hmm.
