I know this is about a year to late, but if you are still interested, here is some tips: 1. NEVER play faster then your ability. In most cases, speed is not important, but rather accuracy and attack. Think to yourself: would you rather play perfectly and slow, or insanely fast and sloppy? 2. pracitce, practice, practice!!! You will never get better if you don't practice. Spend an hour (at least!) a day praticing your etudes and scales, and other stuff.
Hope this helps anyone that reads this
