I was going to start a Sr in the Los Angeles area (En Garde), but we had difficulty getting DCI's 30 member minimum.
We've decided to formally hold off until the economy improves, since that was a big reason for the low numbers.
It can be done...I was a charter and 5 year member of SoCal Dream (DM 03-04, soprano soloist 06), so I have at least a idea of the PHYSICAL needs....it's the admin stuff that's the killer.
I DID have some interest from some former Esperanza people and would love to have a Sr in SoCal that could compete directly against Dream. Going to DCA is NOT in my plan (too far to goo and too expensive for one -- MAYBE two shows)
I'll probably start posting around again whyen we get ready to restart.

there were several other all age corps in California, one which was being formed near you was one called En Garde - I believe that one was located in Granada Hills. I believe they have postponed their development for this year, as their organizers have had some personal difficulties which prevented them from concentrating fully on the corps' development.[/quote]
Oh God....I run onto a DCPer even here!! Hiya!!
You have the info right (I didn't see your post when I responded). The joy of Sr corps is you don't age out....you age in!!
FYI, Vista is in north San Diego County....Granada Hills is about a 2 + hour drive away -- traffic gods willing.
