has any one played this in band, or does any one have a mp3 they can put on here? We are doing this for marching band and theres some stuff on youtube but i would really like an mp3!

There are several existing orchestrations of the piece, which was originally written for solo piano. If you'd like to hear the original, there's a recording somewhere of Vladimir Horowitz playing it. The most popular arrangement is the one by Rimsky-Korsakov, which is the version most people associate the title with in their mind.

<3 Pictures at an Exhibition.I played it in community band last year.Awesome Awesome piece.I love the Great Gate of Kiev section.Its just so powerful and just....great.

One of the greatest symphonic works ever...."Great Gate at Kiev" is a killer piece.
Best on-field rendition...1986 and 1987 Santa Clara Vanguard (both openers were not from PaaE, but the rest of the shows were, with some different charts. Both shows closed with "Great Gate"...87 being, to me, the better version.)
