Reunions after 6 weeks are awesome- until you have to say goodbye for another 6 weeks (dreads Monday morning). So even though I've been dancing regularly with some fair leads all summer, just one dance with my boyfriend had me grinning and bouncing in my seat. I wish he didn't have to leave Monday

I just went out to eat with someone who frequents the same site as me online. He and my friend (also on the site) have been calling each other so we decided to meet in person, as he lives about 20 minutes away from us. Kinda awkward at first, but he's a really cool guy. We're thinking of eating out again soon.
I love successful meetings!

This is definitely a little delayed, but as this is the first time I've been on here since and I was reminded of how exciting it is today, I decided I would share anyways. We had pre-camp for marching band a couple weeks ago, and I discovered that I do not, in fact, suck at life. Apparently, I am actually very good at life (or just very lucky), because I had my mellophone chair placement that day, and as I hadn't played a brass instrument (let alone a mello) in about 2 months, I didn't expect to do so great. But I did. I got 3rd chair, out of the 10 mellos we have (including SLs). I'm pretty sure I'm the only freshman who made 1st horn. I'm actually kind of feel inadequate, because I didn't play mello in HS, unless you count memorial day (which doesn't count). But the music is WICKED awesome, and I'm superrrrrr excited about band camp. AND, on a non-band related note, my 8 mo. old nephew started crawling. He is so cute.

1. My new contact lenses came in! 2. My debit card came in the mail! (its my first one ever) 3. SaxGirl's book came in the mail, and I plan to be up all night reading it. 4. I'm driving up to college next week to visit some people and lay waste to the chemistry department. Should be thrilling, and full of partaking in college-type activities.

I had an awesome weekend with friends up at RIT when we drove up in a packed Minivan to visit a friend doing research there. It was awesome. Visited some street festival in Rochester and laughed at the stupid drunk guys on roofs trying to get girls to come up with their "hot bods" (sorry bud, but lobster red, steroid ridden bodies don't do it for me.) Oh, and I hooked all my friends on "Firefly" muwahaha

My boyfriend originally got in one of the yucky, small, old dorms at our college, but the college called him today and said that there is now an opening in the new dorm. So he is going to live in the new dorm now! YAY!!!!! I'm in that dorm too, and so are a bunch of our friends.

Time to revive this thread.... BUGWB Made MLIA!mylifeisaverage.com/story.php?id=776708"Today, at my school's football game the marching band was playing. Every year the drum section does a solo, and this year the beat sounded a lot like "Single Ladies". This was not a coincidence. The entire band did the single ladies dance. I so wish I was in band. MLIA" We are awesome (though that they say "every year" makes me wonder if the whole band has it wrong and some other school did the same thing this weekend...)

^that is pretty awesome.
I'm terrified to see what the guys in BSDS choose to wear to our Halloween Ball (however, my boyfriend will probably be Captain Hammer so he's set.)

So I'm pretty sure that I was filmed on C-Span and the Daily Show (marching by the cameras in the national equality march that took place in Washington DC yesterday). one of the best days of my life for sure. I barely missed seeing Lady GaGa, cause I got dragged away to keep an eye on my friends when the went to get food.
