Heads up to everyone here who is looking for a cheap good mouthpiece (on Bb). The Mitchel Lurie mouthpiece ($150) is being sold for $30! This is the link: 1stopclarinet.stores.yahoo.net/miluprbbclmo.htmlMy BD recommended this site - I was browsing and found this amazing deal and had to share it with someone!

The best MP for american 440 clarinet players is the M13 Lyre from VanDoren. For 442 (orchestral) players, it's the M15 lyre.

I play on my mom's old V360 that I just found. It plays great (even though it looks really old), though it took a bit of adjustment.

I have a Geo. M. Bundy... 3... i think? for my alto that was with the horn when I got it... but that's because I am too cheap to get myself a good MP. They don't sell the M- anything for alto... and that's what I really need. I suppose if I make all- state next year, I will go ahead and buy a C*... lose the cheapness.

Yep, that was my old mouthpiece (before I bought my ridiculously cheap C* that the music shop wanted sold...).

Apparently there are marca alto reeds, but unfortunately wwbw only sells them in 2. And 1stopclarinet.com has them in the sale section, so they are probably going out of buisness or something. Yes, this is aggravating. It actually makes me want to buy alto sax reeds. I'm considering V12, Alexander DC, and Gonzalez. What do you think?
