We used to be double A in our division (last year, 60 people including guard), now we're down to 47 including guard. We have even fewer winds because we have about six million percussionists...

This year, our band has 52 people. Pretty sad. We've been hovering in the 50's-60's ever since I've been there, though. We don't have any colorguard or anything like that since we don't actually march, so yeah, that's it for our band.

Not counting drum line, color guard, and honor guard, 65. That makes it tough when we're up against bands with 175, which has happened on several occasions.

Last year our band was 60-70 and then we got a new Bd and were down to 40-50 people.

We have 40 in hornline, 8 in guard, 10 in drumline, and like 10 in pit. We're a class 5A school though. Huge school really. We still kick a*

So,for all you small 1A-2A bands--all of you have said its the quality, not the quantity, right?Well, has any of your bands actually beaten 4,5,and 6A bands?I can happily say we have 5 or 6 times this year. And the schools we beat have been no slouches either. We beat one that is performing at the Cotton Bowl this december, and many other high quality bands.
Edit: come to think of it,we've only been beat by 3 bands so far this year, and they only beat us because we got screwed over at our most recent competition...yeah,I must say, that is a pretty respectable record so far.

My alma mater has 88.

We have about 50 including percussion and guard, last year we had about 70. We are in the upper average for Maine. One band, Lewiston has about 18 people. They are the smallest around.

ha, yah, we have.... 120-something in our varsity (10-12) and about... 70ish in our 9th grade... over all i think the total is close to 220-230... lol, its crazy. and we don't 'have people shoulder to shoulder, goal post to goal post' we just have to have more complicated drills... and do lots of passes and such. Its fun, i like a big band, more energy.
