We play Eye of the Tiger (or Eye of the Panther, being our mascot) but we play it SO much because we don't play half of the music we got at band camp. But at a game, the other band played Stronger by Kanye West! We were all pretty much jealous.

We have "band wars" with our arch rival bands (FCHS & SMHS, if you know who I'm talking about good, if not, don't worry about it.). We counted how many times they played their fight song once, and then we played it back. They went nuts! But that's beside the point. Every school in our county plays "Apache" in some form or another, the Tuba Cheer is pretty common, and I've only seen a few bands besides us play Low Rider. They're going to rearrange our fight song next year though. I like it the way it is. Some of the french horns complained about the "bops" so they're giving them the melody (which we (trombones/baritones) currently have, hm...). If you've ever heard The Victors then you know what I'm talking about... the DA DA DA - DA - DA - DA DA DA DA - DA

Oh man. I LOVE band wars. We had one with the "hey song" at the last game. My favorite stand tunes (this year!) are definately disco inferno (burn baby burn!) land of 1000 dances, the hey song, and I like to move it move it

Off the top of my head
-Virginia Swing -Eat 'em Up -Let's Go 'Hoos! (all of which I'm pretty sure are local to UVa only) -Neck -Apache -Iron Man -Smoke on Water -Mission:Impossible theme -Jungle Boogie -Who Are You? (played every time the opposing team gets a penalty) -Tear It Up -Lone Ranger theme (although, we don't play it that often since we're pretty sure it's bad luck)
That's all that I can think of...I'm sure we have some more.

We dont play stand tunes, actually. Its kinda weird, cause we were never given anything, players usually just improv and play their own stuff for things. We do play No Leaf Clover and the Beer song though, its cool.

We have such ghetto songs that never change. The most notable is We Got the Beat The most fun is Hey What'd I say? (I don't know, what DID you say?) The most recent is Hey Baby! Which is actually on its way to becoming a favorite.

I love all our sectional songs
Trombones: Low Rider (Of course) and this year one of the section leaders taught them the Trombone lick thing from Monty Python and the Holy Grail from the "horseback" scenes and they play that
Trumpets: Four Corners and James Bond (But James Bond is our Pre-Game this year, so they can't play in the stands)
Saxes: In the Mood and Sir Duke
Flutes: Sailor's hornpipe
Sousaphones: Booty [It's not really just them, all the trumpets and saxes improv while they're playing] and occasionally Veggie Tales
Mellophones: Gingersnap [aka: the Enzyte song] The directors won't let them play it though, so we only play it at the Powderpuff game when they aren't there. It's more of Mellos and Saxes than just mellos
Clarinets don't have one because they lose
Other favorites include but are not limited to: Tiger Rag (Obviously, as it is our fight song) Hey Baby Danger Zone Eye of the Tiger Proud Mary Peter Gunn Super Mario
And from Middle school: Rocky Top Crazy Train My Sharona Smoke on the Water
And the one that I absolutely HATE beyond reason that everyone else at GHS LOVES: EPSN

Hm ... I'd have to say Land of 1000 Dances, Hey! Baby!, Crazy Train (purely because of the beginning and we get to say, "ALL ABOARD!!"), Iron Man, and the Hey Song (when other bands play it).
