section shirts would be fun. last year the pit orchestra for beauty+the beast made shirts that said "How Long Must This Go On? (The Unofficial Pit Shirt)" on the front, and had nickname-type things on the back. Girls had dark grey, guys had light grey (I dunno why they had different) They were great, kind of a comment on "hey, the cast+tech+everyone else gets shirts, but we don't?"

Our section shirts didn't really say anything on them. Instead we had a big gorilla on the front (apparently it's the trumpet mascot) and on the back it said "Fall 2006" and then had the names of our section leaders and our field commander and then had our first name.

every year seniors make shirts for their last day of band camp... last year they were yellow (joke with the marching assistant who says" what kind of guy wears yellow?") and said "Can't Wait" on the front (often misspelt, like Kant Weight and stuff...) and said SEEN YOURS? 06 on the back.
This year, they said "Bustin' Out" on the front and "License to Chill 007" on the back.
Edit: we're trying to think of something creative for 09, but so far we can't come up with much. but we have 2 years to think so its ok

Last year, our euphonium shirts said "Euphoniums, the other OTHER low brass"
Flutes "License to Trill" Alto Saxes "Dude, Where's my Sax?" Trombones "Good (trumpet pic), Better (horn pic), Best (trombone pic)"
And our trip shirt said "You say 'Band Nerd' like it's a bad thing!" with all of our names on the back.

we dont get section shirts at my school but the clarinet section gets sweat shirts (cus they want to i guess) and there is aparently going to be 2 different sweatshirts one for the girls and one for the guys. and on the guys it is going to say the proud, the few, the male clarinets. and on the girls i guess it was going to say the proud, the not so few, the female clarinets but i think they decided on something else but i cant remember what it was.

On my trombone hoodie last year we had a skull with two trombones crossing under it (a skull and cross 'bones) and it said, "if the marching band blew up there would be nothing left but 'bones!" I think it is hilarious!

Me and some of my other clarinet section members wanted to make shirts that say "Clarinets.. wanna bang?" because we are perverted. We decided that wouldn't be appropriate for clarinets, so we decided we are going to join the drumline so we can get shirts that say that (not really)

Our trumpet section had shirts that said "[school name] Trumpet Section" with a picture of a trumpet on the front. On the back, it said "The Answer." Sounds egotistical, yes, but it was in reference to what a judge said on a tape from one of our competitions this year during "Land of Make Believe," which is really conversation-esque, like Beethoven's 9th. The judge said something to the effect of, "there's the question...*hears trumpets* and there's the answer." The trumpet section leader liked it, so he had shirts made for them.
