We don't have section shirts, but we did get jazz band shirts. This is, roughly, the picture that was put on the shirts: i29.photobucket.com/albums/c284/sugrdrunk/tuscansandraider.jpgFor anyone who can't tell... it's a Tuscan Raider (from Star Wars). Holding a trombone. That's a poster representation... our shirts have a photoshopped version, but it's basically the same. It doesn't say anything cool, just our school name and "Jazz Ensemble" (we wanted it to say "Oldschool" but that's where our BD drew the line), but the picture more than makes up for that.

Our Trombone Shirt says:
Caution: Slide Zone (on a yellow sign)
Trombones 2005-2006: For best results, use lubrication.
I also heard that the Trumpets are planning something like this:
White Gloves: $3 Marching Shoes: $25 Trumpet: $1000 Passing out while holding out the last note of the show: Priceless.
It also has a funny picture of a passed out Trumpet player.

We never get section band shirts. The trombones did though. Of course it probably helps that they have more then one person in their section. lol The drumline has a shirt too. It says "Just beat it!"

Man, we don't get section shirts. Of course, this is the first time in years we've gotten band shirts, and that's only because I spearheaded the movement and did everything myself. And then people have to complain about the design...
Our shirts have a picture of a drummer and inside the drum it says "We believe commitment, discipline, dedication, determination, and desire produce success."

We don't have section shirts either...just the ones we make for Section Stand-Out Day at band camp if our section chooses to go that route (which most do...make shirts to go with their particular theme/skit/whatever).
However, since we're going to Rome, we're getting Rome shirts. On the front there's a picture of the Collosium with a yellow brick road leading up to it, and little band people marching up the road, and it says "There's no place like Rome..."
And on the back it says "ONUMB conquers Rome" with a list of our performance dates.

hmm. all the funny mello shirts wouldnt be approved because a. they make fun of trumpets and our bd was, of course, a trumpet player. b. varying degrees of pervertedness too bad....were just getting regular shirts w/ mellos, baldwin band, all normal stuff. no slogan. still- first time in history the mellos have had shirts. we are actually becoming a recognized section! lol

Maybe 24. I don't know, 'cause we always seem to be missing some. I think the trumpets and clarinets have just as much. So, we could have, like, battles... that would be interesting...

I've had a band shirt that was in orange and jail numbers across the front (" 05060708" school years obviously), and the back said, "Most inmates do their time in 15 to 20. We do ours in 8 to 5."I believe this year at the h.s., their shirts, say: "It's okay, I'm with the band."A few years ago, they had: " MHS MARCHING BAND WORLD TOUR! and under it, it had the itinary saying, "Sanford, Sanford, Sanford, Sanford, Beaverton, Sanford, Sanford."..heh.. world tour.. 15 miles away. The trombones at CMU got our football jerseys in maroon and gold.. (but the trumpets got theirs too, in blue and white, for some reason.. weird people..lol.. if u don't know about this, see my forum on the Toilet Bowl) And this years at CMU had two guys on the band shirt.. one in full uniform, and another naked in a barrel.. and it said "All or Nothing!" under it.. which is true.. that's one of our mottos when it comes to school colours and uniforms...all or nothing! And yes.. the tubas showed up to the last game's rehearsal.. in nothing but the raincoats, which don't cover much.

Yeah all the funny things you could put are perverted, so none of the adults want you to have it. Our BD told us that he didn't want other people thinking that all the band thought about was sex. Yeah, but that's completely true... all that any band thinks about is sex... (Or at least most... the perverted people of the band).
